Well done!

I've actually lost all respect for IGN and Gamespot over this situation.

Can anyone recommend any other really good comprehensive game article/review websites?
I've been going to those to since they started, but it's finally dawning on me that their time is over.

Gametrailers.com  IMO have the best review, whether they like the game or not is irrelevant. The reviews that IGN does are bias and retarded. Some of the games that IGN review, they say are good when most of them are straight crap.

The Infamous 2 controversy and this controversy are two different things.

Infamous 2 was still in development when fans learned of Cole's new looks and wanted a change.

Comparing that to what happened in ME3 would be as if Infamous 2 shipped with the new-look Cole and then was changed with a patch a month afterwards due to fan outcry. Obviously that wasn't the case.

This should be something "Kain" and this community should realize, but I'm not surprised they don't. Kain is probably lurking around these forums trying to figure out what he can write next to get more hits, and the community that loves Kain for doing it are simply not thinking things through, but are just reacting out of gut instinct.

It's sad and pathetic all around.

No its not 2 different things. Colin says that its up to the artist to decide the direction of everything in a game. It dosn't matter if its before or after launch, if you make an artist change his art it isn't 'his' art anymore. Its everyones and Colin clearly supported this.

Look no futher than giantbomb.com

They don't review EVERYTHING but everything they do reflects quality over quantity.

It's nice to have a calm, rational, professional voice tell the world, "No, it's a good cause. Ignore the haters, they're in the wrong."

Sadly, GiantBomb won't remain that way.

thanks to these posts/links to Forbes I have discovered a new honest source for information.
The guy(s) writing those articles about ME3 really understand where we are coming from with why we are asking for more/fixed endings

so, thanks again :P

for videogame reviews I go with the escapist. zero punctuation will highlight ALL the blemishes, while still not devolving into "this game is terrible". Criticism done by a true critic out to make sure people get a good look into the side of the product other reviews gloss over or ignore.

I was surprised over how lenient he was over the ME3 ending debacle in his last review though

Colin's original video rant was silly. He didn't know why fans were upset, and went on a huge soapbox: you guys are just whiners, DEAL WITH IT.

If that's your FemShep in your avatar, I can say only one thing, superb.

Ign are in an increasingly difficult position now. Their 'review' (along with other major sites) shows such a huge disconnect with user reactions it really brings the spotlight onto the incestuous relationship between themselves and the developers. Every time they try to belittle the fans, their motives become ever more transparent.

So apparently IGN doesn't mind a studio changing content as long as it's what THEY want.

Screw everyone else, aren't hypocrites fun?
