Well if Chobot reviewed ME3 there is a definite conflict of interest there. Image IPB Handing it off to another reviewer seems fair to allow them to carry on their business model of providing video game reviews and other info. Standing out was not an option.

No, simply having another employee do the review isnt' enough. The *ORGANIZATION* has an interest conflict there, not just the employee. If one of your primary public faces is in something you want to review, there's a conflict of interest there to make it look good. In any other business, IGN's conduct in this regard would be inexcuseable. I can't think of anything outside PC gaming that would run a review with an employee featured and credited openly in the product, *especially* without any sort of disclaimer.

On top of that, to then release a bunch of editorials on how anyone complaining is an entitled whiner, is...highly suspect.

Nobody outside of big name gaming would get away with that the way IGN has.

Out of all this, I now know that Forbes of all places has the best video game coverage around

ROFL, it's all a dream lol, priceless.

Diana Allers in the game (some chick from IGN(orance)) + cash = 1000/100 GOTY LOL!

I also love how CH writing about the reviews vs fans mentioned IGN... Woow, In this state who gives a flaming dick about IGN review? Who cares?

IGN! Get off my ship!

Considering that are so many movies made with "alternate endings" that are released on DVD and Blu-Ray and movies are still considered art, this idea of video games can't have "alternate endings" because it ruins them as an art form is a pretty stupid defense IMHO.
