OK... just thought of this. Even if you were one of those players that NEVER took Liara as a LI, it really feels like the writing team push her character on you through all 3 games as maybe the CANON LI. If you did take her as the LI in game 1 and got to love her up again in the shadow broker DLC, then those of you know what im tlking about as you all have seen how the love interaction with her takes place. You are as one, just kind of out there in space looking over the universe. WELL... in game 3 just before the end battle on Earth, she asks you if she can... do something. You can say sure or turn her down. If you let her, she does her little mind meld thing, her eyes go black and you are again like in the love senes standing with her in space watching over the universe. Afterward she looks at you and smiles as if she got you! what if this was her way of making that little way for them to start another series or spin off of Liara having the next Shepard? Asari Shepard who in any game can now have anyone or thing as a LI lol Makes sense to me.

What do you guys think?

I thought that too (also it's one of my favorite scenes in all of ME), and I think it'd be great to see it in Mass Effect 4. However, what makes me doubt it is that with the way Mass Effect 3 ends, I doubt they ever intended Mass Effect 4 or future games to take place after, but rather during and before (which I hate). I think they may have even said this.

That´s what I thought.

It was, combined with Liara´s pessimism throughout ME3, the point where I realised that boy, oh boy, Shepard was going to die that day. And Liara was just desperate to save a piece of him/her at any cost. Great, great moment. Pity the ending itself then sucked.

Yeah I figured that it was her giving herself a baby too.

Just as well Shepard did die and she got trapped on a jungle planet saves the, "I'm sorry, you're what now??."

im just saying, if another series was to somehow come out of this and Shep really is dead. This would be a way for them to continue Shep's story through his kid as in an Asari.

No. No. No.

Just... no. Not Liara, not like that. She wouldn't, seriously man.

Also, she thought that it was the end for everyone at some point. You think she'd go "Hmmm, let's have a baby with Shepard even if I'm 99.99% certain that I'm going to effectively die pregnant". No way.

Well she is the only one that cares for you really. She stopped teh collecters from taking your body during the 2 year lapse from being spaced till you wake up in the cerebus base, because the shadow broker sold you out. I don't recall anyone else from your crew doing that. She is just collecting her dues from you :P

During my first play through, I didn't know how to interpret that scene by I was leaning towards reproductive melding. Regardless it was pretty powerful moment. I decided to let her hang back, I figured the push for the conduit was a one way trip either way.

Well if you make it "canon" (if they are ever going to make post ME3 games they have to make something cannon no matter what) that liara is LI, that would be pretty awesome i mean you basically already have said u want little blue babies, and spend the rest of your life with her. It would be a freaking awesome way to continue the story. And imagine, an AAA RPG where you do not have the option to be human (and humans are still part of the universe!) Now that would be innovation, and ballsy.

It wouldn't be so far fetched. Every race has a survival instinct.

You should ask her what the gift is. She explains it. Hint: No, she's not knocking herself up.

That's what I thought to.

I totally get to say 'I told you so', when ME4 comes out staring Shepard and Liara's child.

Yep. If Shep and Liara are "more than friends" at this point, why even try to disguise it? Why would Liara have to trick or not tell the truth about what  she's doing.

It's hopeful speculation, but I think it was what she says it was: a way to share memories (or something). To me, making those blue children would happen a little more graphically than that.

Also, Liara asks for your feelings about and input on a time capsule, but not on a child? o_O
