Afterward she looks at you and smiles as if she got you! what if this was her way of making that little way for them to start another series or spin off of Liara having the next Shepard? I did romance Liara in one of my play throughs.I had one where Ash was my LI. It happened both times, so I totally think she did her Bondmate thing.

Liara wouldn't rape Shepard and use his/her DNA to impregnate herself. Regardless of whether you think Liara's a Sue or not, you have to admit at least that much. She explained exactly what she was doing.

Actually, I am replaying ME1 now to start a full series playthrough and I just had the discussion with her about Asari reproduction again.

She said that physical contact isn't even a necessity. Its simply a matter of sharing deep memories with each other, right down to the base genetic memory of a species.

Sound familiar?

Weird I didn't think about that at all before I saw this theory on the board... in about 20 different threads. The question is now am I just naiv or are you just twisted? No seriously, I think they just went with their "artistic freedom" instead of actually showing her memories. A case where I can live with that "artistic freedom" because it actually created a very nice moment.

I guess it IS possible but I doubt Liara would do that without Shepard's consent somehow. Also since you can reject her gift, I highly doubt it would be used in future games. BioWare would have to retcon the entire thing which they wouldn't... *thinks about ME3 ending and shudders*... Never mind I said anything.

What you don't know is that Liara is actually Morrigan in Asari form. This is how the Ward...I mean Shepard lives on.

I never got that scene. Neither i got her "Gift". Maybe its because i never talked to her and when i did i choosed all renegade options?

The paragon and romance ones are different. She goes into this friend/ bondamate speach. 

Edit: she doesn't come out and say " oh by the way, you just knocked me up"

Awesome! Liara is stranded on some far away planet, Shepard is alive on earth. Then 50 years from now Liara shows up after riding in an FTL ship for decades asking for past due child support.

Old Man Shep trains his young Asari daughter to save the galaxy as Asari are the only sentient lifeforms that live long enough to do so via FTL travel.

Sounds like an excellent start to ME4.
