Just a random thought I had about the future of mass effect once the whole debacle of the ME3 ending finishes and once all the dlcs are out of the way.  What would everyone like to see?  Would they want to continue playing as 'The Shepard' or would they want to play as a completely new character?

My own preferences would be:

1) Reboot of the series: might be flogging a dead horse here, but I can see that if it's done in a different tone and offers a new perspective from the original it might work.        

2) The 'Quarian' flotilla ME4:  Could be a situation where all the species from ME galaxy have banded together in search of a new home in a completely different galaxy.  New aliens species, cultural clashes, and etc!
