is getting annoying..

Call me a fanboy, but Bioware is one of few dev's i still deeply respect.

Much of you lack this respect big time. For a Dev to chance their own game is a HUGE accomplisment. I still dont agree on it though. Bioware had this ending in mind, so it belongs to Mass Effect, now we will never know for sure if they had planned this. What they wanted to do later on this year with DLC. With every piece of DLC they will release now i will doubt this is truly a Bioware decision.

I know i will not make friends with this post here, but i wanted to let Bioware know that there are still gamers that deeply respect, and accept their choices in what ever they planned to do in the Mass Effect Galaxy.

Just throwing this out there...

And to Bioware... Wonderfull job on the Mass Effect Trilogy, and remember, whining gamers only want the best for their game.

I agree. Enough is enough. Everyone has made their displeasure known, and I dont think ****ing anymore about it is going to make a bit of difference. Time to sit back, and wait patiently to see what Bioware does to clear things up.

It's just mob mentality at this point. People blindly lashing out in anger and hate. Emphasis on the word "blindly".

I don't like the endings either, but this is ****ing ridiculous.

It's like the DA2 fiasco. I thought that was when the "fandom" showed their true colors, but this puts that nonsense to shame.

People need to re-think of what being "a fan" means. If I was a developer I honestly would just stop listening to what anyone had to say, positive or negative, and just let the chips fall where they may. Nobody gets paid enough to take on this kind of crap.

I agree with this here. We need to keep holding the line until that DLC they announced is on hard drives.

How about reporting them to external managing companies like the BBB, and threatening to tell George Lucas and Steven Spielberg etc. to try and get them to join your "cause"?
You die-hard "Line-Holders" are only diminishing your chances of rectification, and muddying the reputation of your group. Don't directly weaken BioWare, do something constructive; like the Child's Play Charity donations.

Whining = Opinions You Don't Like

If Bioware has the right to do whatever they want, we have the right to give them **** for it.

So the actions of a couple guys doing things you don't agree with, of course, invalidates everybody. I guess it's a lot easier to dismiss an entire group for the actions of a few than to actually say something to their larger point.

Whether the majority of the movement sits back or not, you will ALWAYS have the fanatics doing stupid things.

The crazy ones are the disrespectful ones. The majority just sit hear and talk, and give feedback and dialogue with themselves and others about the endings to pass time and show we are not satisfied until the endings are fixed.

So, you are telling the wrong people to settle down. Tell the trolls to settle down, not the main movement, as seen by Jessica Merizan's responses, the majority of the movement has been awesome.

Generalizations are a bad thing.

Most of us try to remain civil,  but "a few bad apples spoil the bunch"

Ok.....

I however think it's very dangerous and controversial territory they've stepped themselves into. Granted, we as consumers have no idea what they have and had planned for DLC and what was entailed ( I personally doubt they'd keep adding DLC that took place just before Priority Earth to keep the game feeling alive) but just like DLC's legacy itself, it's not fun to toy with content that should be in the game and reverse it to charge players for the add-on. It boggles my mind when it comes to endings being short sighted or half finished just for respected dev team to turn around later and release the completed version.

FO3 was an exception. I thought the ending was good myself but having played Oblivion, I was expecting to run around aftwards  which we didn't get until Broken Steel. Which I fully endorsed but again, wasn't entirely ok with the idea of it all.

Why does anyone care? Bioware is a division of a corporation (EA) and certainly isn't going to shed any tears for you. Why do you feel the need to white knight it?

I could say the same for the people who have taken their disappointment over the ending to weirdly personal levels. Bioware didn't "betray" you, it didn't break your heart. It's just a company.

Jeez.

@OP: I'm all for "artisitic vision" and an author telling the story they want to tell.

The problem is when the author makes claims about the story [ending] that they are working on. When they do this they are limiting their own options. If they don't live up to their word then it's 100% their fault for misleading their audience.

They misadvertised the majority of the entire product.

That's not just illegal, but it makes them out to be very terrible people.

And if you were a developer responsible for this terrible ending, and you failed to acknoweldge it, you might face long-term repercussions.

But they're so great! When you generalize people, you can call them a name and then not have to argue with them because you obviously won!

According to the dictionary it's short for fanatic. And I can't think of anything to add that would make my point better than that.

Most people 'holding the line' are sending this story to anyone who has a medium to recieve it. Weather or not they make their stance vocal isn't our call.

However to say we should stop and let things just happen is wrong. Its a typical PR stunt. They're trying to dumb our displeasure down with vague phrases and hopes, hoping to quiet us down until the Retake movement dies out completely.

If we don't keep up the pressure, nothing will get done. Thats what they want. If its annoying you, find another ME forum without any anti-ending posters. Not that you'll be able to, because this displeasure regarding the ending is almost universal throughout the internet.

So please, if you don't like it don't read it. But don't tell us to stop because 'we're annoying you'. This is something we want and believe in. And if you don't like it, I'll politely tell you that we don't want to stop. If you still don't, frankly, I (as well as we) just don't care.

Hold the line.

BW can make whatever they want. And charge what they want for it. I will make my choice to buy or not,

But they made certain promises and people are waiting for them to be for filled. There's a page of quotes. Its pretty obvious why some are angry.

I am not bothering to hold the line or anything but I appreciate the ones who are

This is a forum to give our opinions.
You're more than welcome to give yours, as long as its respectful - and this statement goes towards EVERYONE.
