It is either this Retake movement or abandoning Bioware and EA forever(for me). If they would rather that, the good Doctor can blog it

I completely agree. While the endings weren't to my taste, I think that this "RetakeME3" campaign is utterly ridiculous. Who gave them the right to treat Bioware like this?

I didn't take the end popup screen as a slap to the face, I took it as "Hey man, thanks for sticking with us for 5 years! We're definitely creating more content for you to enjoy! Good Luck in all your ventures!" And I was like, "GREAT! I'm going to go look up the alternate endings now." What did I find? Endings that, yes, were suspiciously alike, but even worse, a start of a movement that has taken over BSN, IGN, GameSpot, and has even made it to CNN.

Well, all I can say is that I was always taught not to bite the hand that feeds you. Try patience guys, we might just get answers and more content. Closure, if you want to call it that.

I'll hold the line, but I'll hold it on Bioware's side just like DA2

Well, I don't really care about the pop-up. To me that's just basic stuff.

I don't agree with nasty personal attacks on BW and its employees. In any way, shape, or form. At the same time, if I really don't like something, I don't feel it's fair to ask me to sit down and be quiet about it. I'm not going to sit in the corner and be a good girl, and hope that somebody notices and gives me a pat on the head.

The squeaky wheel gets the oil. Every time. Fair, or not. That's the way it is. When you go sit down and be quiet about something that is bothering you, then you are gladly forgotten.

I think I agree w/ most of what I think you're saying. As far as not disrespecting ppl, and basically giving BW a chance to do something about it. I agree. At this point it pretty much is a wait and see moment.

But, BW is not feeding us. We are feeding BW. It's because we buy their product that they get to keep their lights on and buy food for themselves. BW bit the hands of the ones that feed them.

I don't know how this is all gonna play out. But I think it needs to play out. I severely disagree with doing things like tanking their metacritic/amazon ratings. The ending deserves to have points taken off, but you don't tank it. I thought it was a darn good game besides the ending. Others appreciate the ending, and that's cool by me, too.

I respect that some people wanted more than the open ending we got, and I can understand it to a certain point as well. However, the behaviour on these forums has been extremely bad. Maybe it's just a "vocal minority" of the Retake group, but that minority has taken it upon themselves to tarnish every single thing that Bioware has said.

At first I wouldn't mind an extended ending or some other form of ending DLC. That just means more Mass Effect for me to play. However now I definitely don't want it anymore. We, as a community, do not deserve it after what has happened over the last two weeks.

Yep this is how I'm feeling too. I think there are some ME fans actually turning against the retake movement due to the behaviour of some. I feel sorry for the genuine people constructively campagining for change, in a mature and civil manner.

Some however have this idea that because you are fans or have paid for a game, that you have the right to verbally abuse and be rude to people. That just does not sit well with people................well not with adults anyway.

Yes you paid for a game, but you don't own Bioware, or their staff, and they are not your verbal punching bags.

The only people I have seen being very rude to others are the ones who dislike the Retake ME3 movment. I'm sure some of the RME3 folks have been rude, but we are the majority(even on these forums). There are bound to be a few bad apples. The vocal minority are the ones defending the endings by calling the vast majority (people that want the endings changed) whinny crybabies...

If Bioware has the right to do whatever they want, we have the right to give them **** for it.

Can I just point something out...

Here is a list of arguements people who keep complaining hate to keep hearing:

Indoctrination Theory
Artistic License
"This is deconstructive!"

So as a counter, I would like to add an arguement, as someone who dislikes the ending but supports Bioware regardless that I, personally, am fed up with hearing:

Bioware doesn't have the right to do whatever they want!

Firstly, on the contrary, when it comes to Mass Effect lore and canon, they have full rights to do whatever the hell they want. It's their IP, not your IP. Secondly, in the broader terms, they don't have a right to do whatever they want and nor do they have the power to do whatever they want, if it's illegal, they can be reported for it to the authorities. They are a games developer, not a dictatorship.

You have the right to be upset about it, but they do also have the right not to give a rat's ass if they are that way inclined (for the record, I do not believe this is the case).

Geeze.

Bioware social network users always whine. Game is released, weeks of whining follow afterwards. It's a very volatile cycle.

In all honesty, I've seen a few people in the Retake movement sink to personal attacks. I do not condone their behaviour, but yes, generalizations is what many of us are doing due to the fact that there are bad eggs in both baskets. And besides, I personally feel that we shouldn't be sinking as low as the "We are the majority, and because you're the minority you have no say in this" argument. That goes for both sides. <_<

I am going to make it perfectly clear though, if BioWare doesn't address the ending issue, they are going to lose a lot of income, not just from future game sales, but also from merchandising due to the fact that most of the people speaking out against the ending in the first place have been more than happy to pay for merchandise up until now.

I for one am not going to waste any more money, no matter how tempted I may become on anything EA until this issue is resolved, there are plenty of other developers & publishers that will be more than happy to take my money.

Hahaha... really? Well I guess you either have missed all the cases of bad apples among the bunch or you simply turn a blind eye.

I may not like the ending but I would never go so far as to threaten Bioware employees as some have done. That is just pure... I won't say that here.

There are douchebags all around, they don't just stick to one side and they certainly don't just stick to the side you are against. There are probably way more douchebags in the "movement" (that really hurts calling it that, a movement is something that fights for civil rights not a ****ing ending of a game) than on any other side in this "conflict" (that hurts as well, but what should one call it? I know. Playground.) as there are so many of you and most are ridiculously angry over about 10 minutes of a videogame. Angry people do stupid things and when the angry people also are stupid the stupidity is amplified and thus they do even more stupid things, amplified futher by being rallied onwards by their fellow stupid, angry people.

Yes. I believe that anyone who dares call this thing a 'movement' is a stupid, minuscule person. That's that. There are way more problematic things in the world than a videogame to start a movement about.
