If the dream state indoctrination theory is true then that means the battle and war is still going on while Shepard is knocked out and doing this.

So according to this theory the last 10 minutes of ME3 was a dream sequence and we don't even know who won the war or how the game ends.

Fans having to create a theory just to make any rational explanation of the last 10 min of ME3 shows how much it didn't make any sense in so many ways that we just have to chock it up to it all being a dream.

I also think that the indoctrination theory was the original ending. But due to lack of time (end of EA fiscal year) they had no chance to finish their story and so they only had the option to put all available material somehow together.
Of course nobody would admit this due to the loss of prestige and this would be a reason for the fact that none of the writers really defends their idea behind the current ending.

Which then begs the question "Why would they complete the "From Ashes" (day one dlc) add on but not the ending?"

Maybe it was already finished before the ending. And the Ashes-DLC is also an additional source of money -> more important than the ending

@Bfler I hope that's not true because then it would make BW look like real greedy A-holes, which I personally don't think they would screw their loyal fans over that bad

The Bioware of old wouldn't but they've been bought by EA so they may not have had a choice in the matter

What he/she said^   BioWare has more integrity than that, but EA on the other hand...

EA on the other hand has that whole COD $60 yearly update (4 map packs for $15 for Black ops plus original price of game = $120 for the full package) and Battlefield 3, so yea they will tell Bioware to price-gouge and cut corners.

Never seen BioWare write a good twist.
