I know why the ending bugged me and many others but I have a bigger question. Why is the idea of a rewrite such a huge deal? It's been done before with other companies people. The Fallout 3 ending with Bethesda for example had similar dislike and it got changed with DLC content. I know Mass Effect was amazing and incredibly popular but this isn't ground breaking news. DLC happens all the time DLC that changes a lot of things (i.e. Batman Arkham City Catwoman). I just don't understand why people are going insane. If bioware changes the ending well like I know they can and people buy the DLC who exactly loses sides the fans who lose about 10-15 bucks? I agree the ending was disappointing (at least to me) But not so much that the idea of rewriting it should be so....insane. Just wondering what everyones thoughts were on this cause I've seen some people freak out about the idea of a rewrite.
