Do you think it is possible. Even if they find some ridicilous story I want this to happen so bad. I have been a gamer for 2 decades now.. The Mass effect franchise is the only one I still have passion for .. I mean games got boring for me atleast most of them from avid fan of Total War/Wow/Strategies I now only play some Fifa and Mass Effect..
I would love 4th game with Sheppard.. I mean in terms of action the game was OK for me but the story and the characters that was it... Damn when I had to take some loses from the people I met in the game It felt really bad really bad.. It sounds kinda geeky but I loved all characters ...

Haha, how about Indoc Theory, in ME4 Shepard can become a companion if you chose destroy with high EMS otherwise he is the main badguy if you chose the other two

This EMS bull**** was nice untill the end.. For what I needed it no idea ?! I had 7k and please explain how that helped for the secret ending...
I was thinking having 7/8k EMS will actually mean something not to unlock something stupid and unlogical

Shepard had a **** personality as renegade and was just stupid as a paragon. Nothing of value has been lost.

They've already said Shep's story is over after this game. The might make another game, but he/she will not be in it, except maybe as a cameo.

no chance maybe at best there will be DLC like Mass Effect 2: Arrival which added to the ending to enable a sequel to occur more seamlessly.

Well it's been stated already that this is the end of Shep's story. All future ME3 DLC should, as is my understanding, expand on the current game (let's not get drawn into yet another ending discussion please).
It has also been stated that this is not the end of the ME universe, there's plenty out there to explore but since 3 has only been out a few weeks it's premature to speculate on any further games in the series.

I'd love to see more Shepard. I'm still amazed that anyone thought it was a good idea to build a huge game universe, an amazing protagonist and then can it all after only 5 years.

Why can people still not spell the main character's name right after three games?...
#12
Posté 22 mars 2012 - 04:57
I hope not... I want to play a slightly more generic role in the galaxy, and choose either one the 5 main species... this would make the game so much more interesting, as it is right now, is like a fantasy game where you can play only humans (No elves, dwarves, halflings, etc)

No, the universe is still there and can be used to make a 4th game but Sheppard's story ended in ME3. If they attempt to continue it they would be beating a dead horse and it would show.
They're best off going down the road of letting us pick a species and play as them through another few games set a few millenia in the future.

Shepard as an admiral would be too awesome to describe.

After he survive the explosion of the Citadel and that Fall to Earth from don't know how damn High, The next Game with Shepard will truly be a Superman-Game.

This won't happen, they've said this is the end of Shep's story. And if we're stuck with the endings we have now, that's pretty much a fact...
That being said, I would still love another game with Shep as the main protagonist, along with the rest of the crew returning. It'll never happen, of course.
I, personally, am not buying anything else in the ME series. Without Shepard, the game just wouldn't be right.

This. Mass effect isn't Mass effect without shep and his team.

Since they can get away with a ****ed up ending like the one in ME3.. they can get away with Shep in ME4.

I want ME4, because there is enough substance in ME3 to and have Shepard in ME4.
The last 10 minutes they did, they managed to put the plan for a new game for themselves. Shepard is alive, garrus will have a drink in rio, miranda wants Shepard to come and find her.
What is it with people who are obsessed with what BioWare has said, yes they have said that it is the end of Shepard's story, but it should be the end for him? NO!
You must be open to all, yes, a plan is a plan, but we are human beings.
Plans are changing, always, no matter what, is not the fans happy with this, I think regardless of what they should listen to those who actually pay their livelihood, creating many more DLC / multi option choices you have made to the end, or make ME4 which sounds a lot cheaper, and not waste lot of time.
If we did not pay for the games, they would not have works to go to in the morning.....!! We demand another game.... -.- At Least I am.

James Bond can handle a gazillion movies, even long after the original author is gone. Why can't Shep handle it? Is he a mambypamby?
Really? Bond can take Shep?

Bioware has stated they are done with the Shepard story. As it looks, they were done with the Shepard story BEFORE they even finished Mass Effect 3!

To be honest, if there is a ME4 (which seems likely), I don't want Shepard to be in it. Or if he/she is, he should be an Anderson-type figurehead, not the player's character.
It's one of the things I really liked about Dragon Age 2. The decision to make a new protagonist was one I was 100% behind BioWare's decision. It's also why I'm not too happy about the Halo 4 news (or is it just rumor at this point?) about the Master Chief returning.
Shepard's story ended in ME3. A new protagonist can take the reins in ME4 and beyond.

To be honest, I hate companies splitting trilogies just because of marketing reasons. It was supposed to be a trilogy, so let's please keep it as that.
