You can also vote multiple times. It's really not a very good poll just because of that.
It asks me to vote each time I return to the page just to check the results *pokes gamefaqs*

its a terrible poll design and is biased towards no on how it is being written.

You are meant to keep as neutral as possible when writing polls, questionnaires etc to make sure you do not lead the person answering the question etc down a path they possibly would not have gone without your influence.

all what it should do is say yes, no or unsure. with just a description of the poll to make the responder understand what you are trying to find out.

If I was everyone just forget about that poll that is something you would expect from a 5 year old (no offence 5 year olds)

They need to change the question. The problem for Bioware isn't about whether we liked the ending. The question is...are you more or less likely to buy DLC for ME3. Are you more or less likely to buy future ME games (assuming there will be any). I mean they already got our money for ME1, 2, and 3. The problem they need to see is that they effectively killed the ME franchise and put incredible doubt into their fans about any future games. I will tell you straight up that I didn't buy or play the 2nd DA which is unusual since I previously bought pretty much all of Bioware's games.

I'm also a little miffed about the handling of KOTOR but I realize that is probably more a LucasArts issue than Bioware.

If you don't like the pole, organize the Retakers and flood it with votes.

guys please dont say things like this... it doesnt help us if we look like were acting as a herd and, 1 single poll doesnt exactly wipe out the massive support the Retake movement has gotten especially as the game is less than 3 weeks old.

Stand firm, remain civil, and dont given anyone the oppertunity to dismiss us by acting in exactly the way they accuse us of behaving.

EVERYONE loves to moan, these polls are never a fair or balanced way to judge the general consensus. If that poll was on this forum, the vast majority would be voting in favor for the first option.

However, as people on gamefaqs isn't limited to people who just loved mass effect, many gamers who see the complaints are just going to assume we're a bunch of whiners and vote negatively.

If there is anything people love more than whining, its whining about whiners. That is how those who have not played mass effect 3 will perceive many of us, unfortunately.

Exacly. Plus you can vote more than once. Not a very secure poll.

I'm thinking a lot of gamefaq frequenters went there, saw the poll and voted even though they never played any of the games.

What a terrible poll. I don't want them to change it because it's what we want, I want them to change it because it's terrible written and well, we don't need me to explain what the ending is terrible again.

To be expected. A vast majority haven't actually played the game, and do not know what the cornerstone of the series is.

It's basically voting out of ignorance.

This poll is from people who haven't even played it...

It doesn't have any requirements to actually play ME3 and beat it to actually vote...

This.  Honestly I think most people if they had never played ME3 would be more inclined to agree with the whole "artistic integrity" bit.  After seeing the debacle that is the ME3 ending however people change their mind.

I'm going to reiterate myself, this poll is ambiguous and it's clearly biased. For a normal person that has not played the game and has a little of concern about art, they will clearly vote No. Because the option says "No, it's against their art".

And not knowing what the hell they are talking about, they'd obviously vote for that no. I would if I had no idea what Mass Effect is.

Then again, it also has 3 yes, and 2 nos.

I just think whoever made that poll used very bad wording.

I voted "Maybe, if they feel it's the best thing for the story" because I don't want them to change it just because people demand it. I want them to change/add stuff because they would hopefully realise themselves that there were flaws. If they don't believe in what they do, it will make the ending worse. That's what I believe anyhow, take it for what it is.

That's how I voted, too, and more or less agree with your sentiment.

Hmmm, this is just not true. It's a pretty decent poll, generally. You seem to be looking for a poll with a built in bias towards change, as most of the polls here on the BSN are.

You can only use yes/unsure/no when the answer you are looking for is yes-don't know-no - this poll is more nuanced, looking for more sophisticated answers

And if anyone is going to be organised enough to spam the poll with multiple votes, it is going to be Retakers, not the other way around.

Please engage brains and critical thinking algorithms.

Votes unconditionally in favor of changing. Unscientific poll, however. Leading questions.

All the same, pro-change exceeds anti-change. As consequence, pro-change winning poll, even in spite of leading questions.

Good day.

Looks like the poll was written from the perspective of/for people who didn't actually play the game.

Either way, looks like the "yes" options have more votes than the "no" options.

Looks like between the idiotic Yes, Probably and Maybe options it's blowing away the definitive No options, Especially considering the top Yes option is in the lead.

Ya this is a pretty garbage poll. There needs to at least be a "Yes, The ending was garbage" option.

This is a non-sensical poll. Not everyone on Gamefaq is interested in any way and might still vote on the poll.

Meh, pretty much as valid if not more so than the Bioware forum poll. Like our very own forum's Mordin said though, the questions are leading, and very unspecific.

It asks if the endings should be changed.

That's not even what the Retake members want.

They wan't additional optional DLC.

People arguing against that are nonsensical.

Results are a little squif as the poll has a few maye/probably options that when added to the definites balance out,  but come on guys, get clicking

Pardon me, but are you drawing attention to this poll so that those "holding the line" can rally together and skew the results of that poll?

You're the reason the various polls and surveys on the Mass Effect 3 ending don't paint an accurate picture of player reacton. Kudos.
