does anyone have the viper X to compare against the valiant? I have only unlocked it to IV (since I dont open very many veteran boxes) and I can say it gets trumped in a big way by the valiant in the hands of an infiltrator at least, where the weight adv doesnt confer a CD bonus, since if you shot before cloak expires the cooldown is the same, and not weight dependant.

Meh thats nothing. I've done more than my entire team combined and I don't blame the class/weapon, most of the time there has been someone with identical class/weapon. It's mostly comes down to luck and skills.
Unless you wield an SMG, you'll almost always come down to bottom unless you're adept/sentinel.

Look, I would be really happy if no nerf happens, since I'll keep making a lot of kills with my average skill. I simply believe it is not right for a weapon to be THIS good.

I have the CE and use the valliant on campagin all the time. But I got the Eagle and I am so dissapointed. I think the gun is fine how it is, it is a rare after all. The only thing I want is the gun itself

sucks actually if you bought the collectors ed, and you didnt get the n7 you want.

I got the n7 valiant but only got the standard edition. on the other side of the coin it would be much worse if these weapons were restricted to those who bought the CE.

Don't judge a gun off of one day's play.

First day I had a black widow I was running up scores of as high as 120k-140k. One game was actually funny with me and another guy neck-and-neck at 120k for who was top-scorer, blowing the other two ENTIRELY out of the water.

But that, or similar things, haven't happened since. I can usually outscore my allies by 15 or 20k in a gold match or a silver, but if i were to judge the Black Widow just from that first day's playing I'd have declared it utterly and entirely game-breaking.

The N7 weapons are supposed to be good weapons (well almost all of them). The Valiant isn't really any better than a good Viper, Widow or Black Widow. If you think the gun is overpowered then don't use it and stop trying to get other people nerfed.

Your score as an Infiltrator depends primarily on how much damage you can put out, and also how little damage the others on your team can do. Adepts are hit or miss - sometimes they do well, other times not so much. Engineers are generally low damage on Gold. Soldiers are also hit or miss - what weapon they equip basically determines their damage potential.

When the rest of your team isn't doing optimal damage, it is very easy to get the top score as an Infiltrator. In all honesty, 100k is not that high a score for Infiltrators in that team makeup. Besides, semi-automatic sniper rifles were designed for people who don't aim very well - that's why you have extra bullets just in case. So basically you were using a weapon that best suited you, while playing in a group consisted of people with weak damage potential.

If getting 100k while playing an Infiltrator is enough to get a weapon nerfed, then the Valiant has to get in line behind Black Widow, Widow, Geth Plasma Shotgun, Graal, Claymore, Paladin, Carnifex, Sabre...etc.

Actually yeah they are. Almost all the ultra rare weapons are the best of their weapon type.

The worst thing about this gun Is I prob have the black widow X before getting the valiant II and the BW X will be better at that stage (its a n7 rare too).

I have the Viper X and Valiant and truth be told I did nearly as well with my Viper. The Valiant is more forgiving when it comes to getting a kill on a body shot. When it comes to headshots whatever took two shots to kill with the Valiant, took two shots with the Viper. In some situations it would have been better for me to have the 6 round clip Viper over the Valiant's 3. It's not surprising the Valiant is a bit better though because it feels like the big brother of the Viper as the Black Widow is the big brother of the Widow.

Besides the M99 Saber.

Also being a N7 weapon, and not the black card N7 but a BioWare Gift, it should be OP.  Now get the f... over it and have a good time using it.
