Golden words!

Not sayng you are wrong, but this DLC will be free for us, but it will cost money to Bioware EA, and it won't be released before summer, june ? july ? august ? .... september ? Bioware seem to take the time to make high quality work, and it's a lot better news than "next month".

I know lot of fan think it seems faire to get it for free because they felt cheated in first place, but this "new" dlc and the time they will take to make it will cost them good money, somebody have to pay the bill.
If it was CDproject it would be an "easy decision" to take because they are free, but for Bioware to get fund, they had to convince EA and the backers, and those people don't care about games, their care about product to bring profit (nothing evil, it's business, it's a market like any other).

I will give them at least that and cheer for them and their hard work.
Bioware is taking the risk here, not us, if their extended cut fail to satisfy us (at least me), they won't get money for future dlc as the replayability is nearly none.
I would feel i loose an awesome franchise, but Bioware could loose millions ... to be honest, my side seems more safe than Bioware side.
So, Bioware put their balls on the line with their money, working for free for us ? they deserve the right to handle it their way.
I can't loose more at this point, Bioware could,  / respect.

No trust from me. Before I buy next bioware game I'll way for gamers (not magazines) reviews and then decide. May be even wait till initial price drops – I do not expect A class RPG games from them anymore.

BW has the corner market on RPGs - right now. But it's bound to have blunders as well. So far they have more wins than losses and being a BW fan for years now I'm more than willing to keep some hope alive.

Although moving their focus to C+C I think is a bad move. It's obvious everyone wants more ME, even if Shepard's story ended here. They have a great formula in transferring a character and his/her decisions throughout the sequels. All they need to do now is return to their roots and learn from both the bad and the good that ME taught all of us. So yeah.

I am proud to stand and say loudly and clearly: "In Bioware I trust."

U-hu, maybe. But if the whole concept of ending will not be changed, any "explanations" and "personifications" will not change two simple facts:
a) I've spent 100 hours of my life saving galaxy, and all I receive is "Well, in a couple billions years it will be all OK again!"
B) Quality product? I cannot import my character from ME1 and 2! What quality are we speaking of?! This was my only requirement! Just let me import my [...] Jane Shepard from ME1! Add here broken animations, millions of bugs here and there... I stopped playing this product to gain a patch. And what? A month?! It's some kind of joke?!

I know lot of fan think it seems faire to get it for free because they felt cheated in first place, but this "new" dlc and the time they will take to make it will cost them good money, somebody have to pay the bill.

Oh, such a pity! Maybe then they sholud spend two more month to finish their product?

You know, the problem of ending is that it would be great for a book. Or for a movie. I'd read/watch it and I'd say: hell yeah! Finally not that boring happyend! But it is a game. Not a movie or a novel, whatever BioWare thinks. It is an interactive media, where user changes the course of story. And all that dumb epic at the end breaks it. And the funniest thing is, I am so full of rage because of one simple moment: the relays. If they were not destroyed, I'd say, the ending is lame but it will do. The Galaxy survived, the economy will be rebuilt, it was like a galactic WWII, everything is ruined but reviveable. But in case of relays destruction... Whatever you do - the galaxy we know is doomed. This is why I say - BioWare lied. Either they lied those realys are essential, or they lied about we can make choices. Or maybe I've missed something.

I will put this simply.

- I trusted BioWare after they handed me a game that I ultimately found unsatisfying and poorly produced. (Dragon Age II)

I would have continued to give them the benefit of the doubt for giving me a sparcely creted endgame in the Star Wars.

But BioWare's failure in the face of the incredible amount of hype generated for Mass Effect over the last five years, and the ultimate breaking of the promises made by it, ultimately has betrayed that trust.

Therefore, no, I chose not, and cannot, continue to trust a company who has strained that trust three times. Especially one that holds onto a sense of pride in the face of so many upset customers.

I'm done with them. I likely even won't be lingering on this forum all that much longer, except to perhaps return and remind them of the customer they lost when they try to release another sequel or another IP - as I, and frankly a whole lot of disenfranchised people will likely not let BioWare live this down.

Broken promises and downright lies.

Ignorance. "We're listening". Right. We've seen how that turned out. And what about the MP is NOT required to get the best ending? Right, another lie and yet this is still a damned sticky.

Arrogance. "Take the DLC and be happy it's free." "Artistic integrity!"

The trust is gone and as it is right now they won't get it back.

Wait, that's actually wrong. I trust them to screw the pooch some more.

Too true my friend. Bioware is too blind, out of touch, and arrogant to listen to anything but $$$ anymore. It's an awful way for an old great to go.
