I want to trust them. In the future maybe, but for now I will hope.

In BW I trust. And in indoctrination too :)

this is a bit ironic considering Bioware who you trust states there is no indoctrination which you state you trust in as well.
So which is it you can't trust in both when one disavows the other.

Trust and Bioware should never be in the same sentence.

Two abominations of false choice in a row. They've lost my trust. Depending on how they act, they might keep my respect. Burying their head in the sand and praying it'll all blow over is not a good start.

The sad part of it is that when the space edition hit the net, and the first rumors of the endings were causing a stir, I was a ferverent believer in Bioware. I knew - I just knew - that if they were going to do something that sounded crazy and stupid, it was because they'd figured out a way to do it right. You could bounce a dreadnought off my confidence that, even if the descriptions did resemble the truth, the detractors were just focusing on the bad bits.

Then I played the game. I loved the game. But then I learned that, in the ending, there were no good bits. None. At all.

And telling us that we're philistines for not falling madly in love with their "art" or suggesting that we're just mad it wasn't all ponies and rainbows... well... No. Not going to just assume they believe their job is to entertain us. Not any more.

Trust? With what I have in my signature?
Impossible. O.o Not unless they fix the endings and provide us with a real Harbinger final confrontation that we deserve after being taunted for so long in ME2.

Oh, look. It's the fanboy who thinks being in yet another fan group makes him special. Please stop.

At the end of the day bioware doesn't care about you, what you think, or what you say. They only care about what you pay for and more specifically is it profitable for them.

It started to get hard to trust them when my Hawke went into the same room, house or cave for the tenth time. The endings just made it harder.

I'm willing to wait and see what they plan to do (Hey, I'm an optimist).

In answer to your fawning statement...

No. Trust is earned, not simply awarded.

A lot of people already trusted them (inclduing me) by buying/preordering their games.
After ToR and ME3, my trust-o-meter is empty now.

I'll trust them if they completely change the awful ending of ME3, for free.

A mail popped into my inbox today. It was from Amazon telling me about stuff I might be interested in due to previous purchases and browsings.

It had ME3 (PC version) as the first suggestion, listed at 17 quids.

I think the markets "trust" in Biowares product is all too evident by now... :bandit:

I wonder how their DLC plans schedule for a lesser anticipated market (ME3 sellings cause prices to drop like this) in a tie-in product where they more or less killed the consumers incentive to bother with further attention.

My trust to Bioware is at a point where I will not bother purchasing ME3 as long as the following 3 things are true:

1) Origin is required
2) ending stays with the starbrat and continues not to display the way assets affect ending.
3) game is incomplete and not sold as a complete edition (ala the way I bought DA:O)

Truth be said, I don't expect the future to involve me giving Bioware any more money given my pre-requisites. The issues can be fixed, I just don't think EA is interested in doing so.

You know what the major problem is? Those of us who trust Bioware are usually spat on when we make our viewpoints clear. I can see why people would not want to come forward if that is what awaits them.

No.

I've lost all trust for this company. Dragon age 2 was a stab in the back. Mass effect 3 is no different. Fool me once... Fool me twice? End of the line.

I have NO trust, or respect, for any of the people working at biofail anymore.

Cry me a river.

This is a public forum where people express their honest opinions.  BioWare has pissed off the overwheming majority of its fans and casual gamers alike.

Noooooo…

See, I still trusted Bioware after Dragon Age: Origins, enough to instantly pre-order Dragon Age 2 when it came. I trusted that the sequel would be great, somehow, because – hey, it’s Bioware! I also trusted Bioware with Star Wars: The Old Republic, in fact, enough to buy collector’s edition. Yeah. I played that game for a few weeks. I wish I’d known I was buying World of Warcraft with upgraded graphics and a Bug Boy for companion.

Now – I still trusted Bioware enough to pre-order the digital deluxe ME3.

And that’s where the line is drawn, and trust ends. It was a great run. I absolutely adore some of their games but I need to wisen up at some point before I prove myself to be too much of a sucker.

Good on you, though, fella. Have fun with that – I hope their next game makes you very happy.

How many times do you expect players to put their misplaced trust and faith in a game company before they don't anymore?

This is not the first issue. Its the latest in a growing line.

The writings on the wall. It will take an amazing feat or something pre-planned to pull them out of the fire.
