I was a fan of BioWare going all the way back to Baldur's Gate. We can talk about trust once I see the rachni "just in the final battle with the Reapers" as strangely specifically advertised.

Yeah, thats one classic. You have to have a pretty low EMS for 100 points to make a difference.

You know what the major problem is? Those of us who trust Bioware are usually spat on when we make our viewpoints clear. I can see why people would not want to come forward if that is what awaits them.

Unfortunately this is correct.

Cry me a river.

This is a public forum where people express their honest opinions.  BioWare has pissed off the overwheming majority of its fans and casual gamers alike.

And that is why we should be spat on, because we express our honest opinions in a public forum? Your statement seems contradict itself.

I don't think that people lost trust due to the endings....I think it was more due to the fact that many of the things they said about the game did not line up with what they actually got in the game...and for a lot of people that includes the endings(as well as other things).

I love the Mass Effect 3 game and I know Bioware will take care of us! Show them your support!

I trusted them and paid them.  then they released a game designed to take as much money as they could through microtransactions, removed content, and a horible ending with hopes of selling me a better one.

I want to trust Bioware, I really do, but right now I can't after ME3. If they're able to fix the ending, apologise for lying, give us an ME4 in a few years with lots of cool new features and a gripping story, then my faith and trust in Bioware will be restored. Until then...Bioware have alot of work to do.

I've trusted implicitly them since BG2, but now with the PR statements about what we can expect from the end of the mass effect series being so contradictory to what we actually got, I find my trust seriously shaken. I certainly don't feel that I can trust what Bioware says about a future game they'll release, and won't be pre-ordering anymore - sad as it is, I'll need to wait to see what the reaction to the game is, to see whether the promisses hold out. This trust is further shaken by Bioware's insistence that all the endings are available without MP, when this has been disproven both in practice, and by people actually going through the relevant game file to count the available war assets.

A good first step in repairing that trust would be addressing the problems with the ending properly, and not just giving it a fresh pait job and hoping that people will be placated by that. Also patching the game to be in line with the claims in Jarrett Lee's stickied thread would be fair.

I really hope Bioware can find it's way back to the straight and narrow. I WANT to be able to say only good things about Bioware again.

So that's the latest in trying to get a minority to appear bigger than it is? To asume 'the majority of the silent masses' ?

People "spat upon" (as you so non elequently put it) are those that come forth as being crass and insulting towards those unsatisfied. You can hardly blame people for giving as they take.

Those merely stating they are happy are proving more puzzling than anything else, tbh. It's odd how people can continue to trust someone that continually subvert their own info-releases as well as deliver counter to what they state they will. The shoddiness of recent releases as well (including the book Deception) makes one wonder what is left to trust? I am truly puzzled by this kind of behaviour. Why be happy when you order a bowl of rice and get a cup of milk instead?

Well, after turning Mass Effect from RPG into a shooter, after the Dragon Age II debacle, after the last ME book debacle and after the ME3 super duper endings ... i, as a first day Bioware fan (still have original Baldur's Gate + TotSC boxes !) find it hard to trust them anymore.
I mean i want to, i really want to, but everything's changed back in 2007 and "old" Bioware last jewels were Mass Effect 1 and DA:O.

Forget the trust. How about we just see what Bioware offers before we starting kvetching about it.

the reason they say wait till april is a pr hope of squashing the movement.  people are demanding the product they were promised.  the problem is this is effecting ea's bottom line due to bad press.  so they want us to shut up and give them a month to make profits, then they will talk to us at pax.  im willing to bet at that time it will only be an anoucement to clarify the bad ending and we will have to pay for that too.  if thats the case bioware you have lost me as a customer.  one who had played the majority of your franchises since they started.

BioWare are just so incompatible with EA that I'm falling out of favour with them at this point. We've seen EA's influence upon Mass Effect, what with charging content which should have been there to begin with as DLC and forcing unneeded MP, even going as far to have the MP impact the SP in order to charge more people for the MP.

I mean, Christ, the advertising spoke for itself with Mass Effect 3. All that "action-packed" BS and taking back Earth (note that Earth has never once been relevant to Mass Effect before). I just think it's a shame, because Mass Effect was something I adored from the minute I started, and it's saddening to see EA savage it like this. EA seem to think Mass Effect is (or, rather, should be) another Gears of War.

I expect to see more of this approach in the inevitable Mass Effect 4. EA are killing BioWare.

I do trust them, but they're on thin ice. PAX will either break that ice or solidify it some more. We will have to see.

Have they created games that I've enjoyed? Yes, I think they have.

Will I be giving them more money so I can have more fun with their games? Yes, I think I will.

Do I trust Bioware? Sure why not, they haven't done anything to offend me personally.

By public forum I mean accessible to the general public.... If u don't want to know what the public thinks about ME3 endings and BW, you don't have to be here.

Learn a few things please.

One, Bioware no longer exists, except as a trading name only. They are now a division of EA, meaning wholly owned.

Two, I personally believe Ea bought Bioware in the first place as they were struggling financially...so even if they were not owned by EA, they couldn't afford to leave daddy anyway....

No one would have believed in the early years of the 21st century that Bioware was being watched by intelligences greater than our own; that as they busied themselves about their various IP's, *they* observed and studied, the way a man with a microscope might scrutinize the creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacency, Bioware went to and fro , confident of their gaming empire over this fanbase. Yet across the gulf of space, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic regarded Bioware with envious eyes and slowly, and surely, drew their plans against them.
