And that is why we should be spat on, because we express our honest opinions in a public forum? Your statement seems contradict itself.

if somebody behaves inappropriately, you can report them.  But disagreeing with you and questioning you is not "spitting" at you.

No one would have believed in the early years of the 21st century that Bioware was being watched by intelligences greater than our own; that as they busied themselves about their various IP's, *they* observed and studied, the way a man with a microscope might scrutinize the creatures that swarm and multiply in a drop of water. With infinite complacency, Bioware went to and fro , confident of their gaming empire over this fanbase. Yet across the gulf of space, intellects vast and cool and unsympathetic regarded Bioware with envious eyes and slowly, and surely, drew their plans against them.

I inherently do not trust corporations. I don't want their demise, but I don't trust them. The relationship is one of I give them money for a good product.

Trust is something earned, not freely given.

BW earned it with KOTOR, DAO and ME.
It wavered with ME2 and with DA2.

But they completely and utterly broke my trust with ME3.
The ending is unsatisfactory is just about every way possible.
It doesn't live up to promises.
It doesn't give even an option for a somewhat happy ending with Shepard's LI.
It doesn't make any sense in its own universe.
It leaves the galaxy in possibly a worse state than if the reapers had not been "defeated."

It is a betrayal of our trust. They have to prove with actions (not useless, vague words) that they are trustworthy by giving us an ending that corrects these things.

By public forum I mean accessible to the general public.... If u don't want to know what the public thinks about ME3 endings and BW, you don't have to be here.

Thank you for the clarification on what you meant by general public. As for the second point I have no intention of going anywhere.

*sighs* Between all the exaggerations and/or outright lies told about ME3 during the lead up to its release, and people who followed ME3 news throughout its development know what I'm talking about, the Deception debacle, the Tali photoshop pic stupidity, and the ending travesty, reasons to trust anything Bioware says is suspect. It's going to take a LOT for them to restore fan/consumer trust and confidence. Although the maturity levels of some fans and consumers can be dubious at the best of times, they are not completely stupid and many of the complaints made have been very valid. They have called Bioware out on more mistakes than I'd care to list here. Even my patience is starting to wear thin. We'll see what happens but Bioware's reputation is hanging by a thread at this point.

Did anyone else read that in Morgan Freeman's voice?

Uh, no.  They lost my trust when they failed to deliver what they promised.  Over-sold, under-delivered.  In the world of contracting, there would be financial penalties for this kind of behavior.

They may be able to earn it back but they have to actually deliver on the continued lip-service they are continuing to spew.

This is an excellent initiative. I trust the ME team and I believe that they can solve this problem.
In all probability, I think that EA will force them. After all, EA have invested A LOT into making Mass Effect a household name. I mean, comics, books, action figures, apps and big TV-ads. In all probability, EA will want the Mass Effect series to be a long running series like Zelda and Final Fantasy.

The trust for Bioware is gone, pretty much. It got dented during ME2, and it was lost during DA2, it then got kicked while it was on the ground thanks to TOR, and finally ME3's ending put a shotgun to its head and pulled the trigger.

People just don't trust them to make RPGs anymore, hell ME3 wasn't even remotely RPG'ish. I've seen about as many options during Bioshock. Hell, Bioshock probably had more to offer as far as building your character up to a certain degree. The best proof of how the trust is gone is seeing all the reactions to BGEE. Immediately, people hearing of it for the first time go 'oh no, Bioware's going to ruin my childhood too?!', and when they hear that Bioware has nothing to do with it, they sigh in relief. This is the kind of reaction someone has when they hear the news that Uwe Boll is wanting to do another videogame adaptation, but was refused the rights. It's the reaction of someone feeling like a bullet just got dodged.

That's the sentiment Bioware's name creates in the RPG community now. They've alienated and abused the trust of people who've given them chance after chance after chance, and now the only people still willing to put faith in them are either the ones that Bioware abandoned their old fans to cater to, or people with the mentality of an abused housewife, ceaselessly trying to convince themselves that 'next time will be better'.

ME3 took only 27 hours.
Exclude ending, 'Cerberus everywhere' and day 1 DLC, MP necessity and other things, I would be disappointed just by it.

Except that I don't.

The ending was bad enough, but the weeks they've spent basically tormenting people with hints and veiled responses that can be taken any way you want has been unconscionable and actually cruel.

So, no, I don't trust them. But blame them for that, not me.

Let's trust bioware, they just kicked your dog but let's still trust them. They just ruined your favorite story but lets trust them. Their previous work dragon age 2 shows exactly how much we should trust them.

Invite "That one guy" back into your house when you know he's going to steal something again.

Yeah, do that. Trust bioware. Sheeple, Bawwww awawaw bawwwwwwwawawwaw.

This crap amazes me sometimes.

Trust is a lot like a mirror. It works great until you break it; it is hard to put it back together because you may get a few cuts on your hands while trying to put all the pieces back together. Once you fix it, you will always have it reminding you that what is seen can never look the same again.

The only thing you can do is be very careful not to break it again and wait until someone else buys you a new one (meaning you earned enough trust to allow them to "forgive and forget") or throw aside the old one yourself and work to get a new one yourself.
