Trust them? Why?
Casey Hudson----"you won't just get ending A,B,and C...." Nope we didn't. We got blue, green and red. EAware even calls the movie files blue, green and red in the games files!
proof..

I guess that is the way they were able to tell them apart as there wasn't enough difference to keep them separate without mistakes otherwise maybe?

DLC 1st day? SUUUUPER trustworthy there. They had that planned from the start. The content was on the disk minus the area.

DLC part 2...Disk Locked Content...yep, another SUUUPER trustworthy addition....
all the N7 stuff, reckoning stuff, hoodie, ect. was already on the disk. Trustworthy? nope, stupid. By the way EAware....thanks for the free hoodie, valiant, eagle, ect. I really like the hoodie and valiant.

Bioware had their chance to get our trust back. What did they do after we found out that Ashes DLC was already on the disk and they just removed it to gain additional profit? They blatantly lied about it, told us that it was not true, gave us some BS about making a smooth conversion or w/e, while thousands of PC gamers type a simple code and unlock the whole thing with paying a penny...like they should have originally. If they really wanted to earn our trust, they would admit their wrong doing and apologize.

What did they do after millions of fans became outraged over the pathetic one conclusion ending? They lectured to us about "art" and how we as fans fail to understand what the meaning of "art" is, and that they are always +1 over us. If they really wanted to earn our trust, they would admit their wrong doing and apologize.

What did they do after we organized and sent cupcakes to them in order to have them realize that we have things we would like to say? They took our cupcakes, said "thank you", and gave it away without even considering the purpose and intent of it. Is the whole point of gifts and presents to give it somebody else? I understand that Bioware gave it to a shelter, which is for a good cause, but if we wanted to do that, we would have done it ourselves in the first place... Why don't you give the shelter some of the money you also took from us via DLC, as that would be a MUCH BETTER cause... If they really wanted to earn our trust, they would admit their wrong doing and apologize.

Need I say more? They had their chance(s), and simply spat in our faces and said "****** off"...

Place your trust in those who openly lie.

Seems like a smart thing to do.

This is almost as good as the already classic "A, B, C ending"-quote picture and kinda relevant for the whole discussion about trust, expectations and communication:

BW is not in control. EA is.

Years ago, Origin System, Inc. said EA was letting the devs develop like normal, but after OSI was dissolved, the truth came out straight from the mouths of the former OSI employees.

This cycle of extinction is continuing.

During that cycle a race called Westwood also went extinct...

Sad thing is that he'd still write a better ending.

No, this ending is right up his alley.

Sadly, to trust Bioware, means you need to trust the company that owns them, and tells them what to do.

This is what the readers of the Consumerist.com think of that:  consumerist.com/2012/04/congratulations-ea-you-are-the-worst-company-in-america-for-2012.html

Not a surprise, the Mass Effect series is actually about EA...the real Reapers. Hmm, they should change their acronym to EAR....Extremely Angry Reapers...nah, that just sounds odd. Never mind.

I used to trust bioware, used to buy any game that had biowares name on it. There was no need for reviews or anything of the like as my trust was that strong. Then i ran into glitch after glitch and saw one of thee worst endings to a game i have seen. The winner for worst ending in my eyes is clive barkers jerhico.

Kinda-sorta-relevant to the 'EA are the Reapers' deal.

See, I guess EAR fits as their new name then...terrible. Could also mean Extremely A-holish Reapers too...hmm, the possibilities are there.

Well, my Effective Trust Level is dropping a tad each day. And ME3 doesn't seem to be able to raise it.

wow......EA gets voted worst over the top of the company that ruined people's lives financially?

Bank of America to EA: "Wow....you guys must really be bad. No matter what we did, we still couldn't beat you out for the worst company of the year"
*EA says nothing sitting there counting the profits from their genius day 1 DLC that was a financial windfall due to it being released before people found out about the lies and the epic fail ending they had EAware duct tape onto the end of the past epic series of Mass Effect to meet deadlines and save money*
*after done counting the profits......sorry, this took a while*
EA to BoA: "We got all of the profit up front before the consumer figured us out....you guys understand that, you did it with all those sub-prime loans you KNEW those people couldn't pay back."

Trust takes years to build, seconds to break, forever to repair..

So no i won't trust Bioware now or in a forseeable future. They brought my distrust on themself and it's up to them if they want me to consider start trusting them again. I'm waiting

Loved this bit.

"Traditionally, the Poo has been delivered on its little red pillow. But this year, we'll give EA three different color options for its pillow, though in the end it's still the same old Poo."

If Bioware asked their community for our trust that would be one thing.

But they haven't.

They've asked we direct our critisism in a constructive fashion, and told us that sometime in the future they may address some concerns about a lack of clarity.

We are being critical, many are being constructive. This is what they asked, and this is all they've asked for.

I have honestly enjoyed ME2, DA2, and SWToR. I've even enjoyed playing ME3 up until they broke the story and removed the meaningfulness of my decisions in the last 10 minutes of the game.

I still trust Bioware, but I don't trust the ME writing team any further than I can throw them. The broken end of the game HAS to be the result of either group think or bad unilateral decisions likely due to pressures from the EA side of the house. While these bad decisions won't make a dent in short term sales, the long term effect will damage Bioware's reputation and marketability.

This turn of events is similar to what happened between Cryptic and Atari upon the release of Champions Online. Atari forced the release of the MMO before it was ready, the incompetent Bill Roper (Cryptic side of the house) floundered around making drastic ineffective changes to meet Atari's needs--not the customers, and Atari squeezed every dime out of DLC and sold the franchise and Cryptic to some 3rd rate F2P development studio management company.

Bioware could end up the same way if their management staff doesn't start giving EA some push back. The problem is that Bioware managers probably don't want to jeopardize their jobs on behalf of the customers. If Bioware goes down the crapper most of the talent will slink away and find some other company to work for.

After looking in that thread about EA stock lowering and EA is one of the most hated companies known and the fans are going to get clarification on the endings:

Gamers/fans: A destructive force of nature that many tend to overlook, don't let the nerdy appearence deceive you.

They may be a weak foe when met in person but behind the wall of anonymous, they have the ability to rally a war cry capable of bringing thoasands together under one united banner. To destroy you.

Each anonymous gamer/fan when on the internet, reveal their true colours: Narcissism, psychopathy, manipulators, bullys, rage, sexism and ignorance all come flushing out as soon as one has access to the internet.

The average gamer/fan is your greatest ally and your worst enemy.
