DA2 was upsetting, but whatever. I'll always have DA:O and other developers will make that kind of RPG again.

The Mass Effect series was always a slightly different kind of game. I've enjoyed all three and ME3 was an incredible experience. The ending is pretty clearly not cut from the same cloth as the rest of the game, because the rest of the game is just so amazing. Either something happened or they've had this all planned or both.

I don't understand why BioWare has handled their customers the way they have w/r/t the DLC content being on the disc or w/r/t the ending. With the latter, I hope that it's because they've got a secret they don't want anyone to know about until they're ready to tell us about it themselves.

I'm cautiously optimistic that BioWare will eventually make this right. "Trust" would be too strong a word.

This is almost as good as the already classic "A, B, C ending"-quote picture and kinda relevant for the whole discussion about trust, expectations and communication:

This is actually the saddest motivational I have seen...

I want to believe, I want to trust....

but until they show me something that makes me feel that trust/belief is not misplaced, I'll be over here in the mildly sceptical corner, with just a little hope that my faith will be restored.

BW is not in control. EA is.

Years ago, Origin System, Inc. said EA was letting the devs develop like normal, but after OSI was dissolved, the truth came out straight from the mouths of the former OSI employees.

This cycle of extinction is continuing.

During that cycle a race called Westwood also went extinct...

Don't forget the Bullfrog race that vanished in this cycle too !
And the Maxis race that went remote controled like the collectors !

People who still trust Bioware at this point are willfully ignorant of reality.

BioWare had my trust. Implicitly - they earned it with over a decade of some of the best games I've ever played. Then they lost it with the ending to the Mass Effect franchise, that was written by a kindergartner high on acid who'd just watched Matrix & Inception back to back.

My trust is theirs to earn back.

does anyone else see the irony when this thread is directly next to the Jarrett Lee stickied thread about not needing MP to get all the endings?

Trust is earned, after DA2 and ME3 Bioware isn't entitled to a thing.

This.

But some people will still trust bioware even after all of this, it's natures way of letting us all know common sense still exists for those fortunate enough to have it. Those who don't do some pretty dumb things.

Can you imagine a "We trust Goldmann/Sachs" or a "We trust GE Capital" FB page?

I have come to the conclusion that, yes, Maxis is now fully indoctrinated into the collective. Sad, really. No Simcity 5 for this one. :(

Trust you say?
They lied about Dragon Age 2, they lied through twitter about Rachni decision and some other stuff, i remember an interview on Gameinformer last year when Casey said if you will rally the whole galaxy you will get well deserved and satisfyed ending which was another lie. Sorry after ME3 i refuse to believe anything from Bioware.

Trust is something you leave for health care, doctors, pharmacy, or tax agent. I don't trust companies. You never trust in business why do you think you need contracts? consumers can be loyal because they favor the brand but trusting is another level. If you fail to understand hype or marketing blame yourself not the company

hah! No thanks. Trust and loyalty is earned. They have a bit of a climb to go in that department these days. I will just simply observe rather then support and engage at this point.
