Historically women have had to use their heads to win battles since they lack the physical prowess of men. So to present renegade female Shepard to be just as much of an intimidating badass as male Shepard requries a little bit too much suspension of disbelief.

Even in the future with genetic enhancements and what not, you cannot deny nature.

Historically women have not been allowed to fight alongside men as equals, and that only proves sexism not physically inadecuacy on the part of women.

Pretty sure my 6'3", strong girlfriend could kick the crap out of you and give you a little more insight on the strength of women.

Think of other video game characters like Bayonetta. She is up against enemies are more powerful than she is yet she knows how charming she is and uses it to her advantage to exploit the weakness of stronger foes.

They should've made it that what female Shepard lacks in outright intimidation, she makes up for in seductive cunning.

<facepalm>

And Kai Leng wouldn't fall for that.

They already threw big boobs on femshep, do you really have to take another one of the women's fantasies of what we want to be, and turn her into another male fantasy of what they want to have sex with?

I'm so tired of this. I hope this is a troll, but there are so many men who really feel this way. Every single other women in video games is femme fetale. Why can't women have a strong woman who doesn't have to fit into gender roles that men put them in? Why can't we just have ONE woman? Why do you need to take everything from us?

Thank you.

Really? You're using Bayonetta as a good example of a strong female character? ...Really?
I hope you are a troll, because if not this is just sad...

Renegade was never really intimidation, it was doing whatever you needed to so as to survive and being direct.

As for her abilities, she has a reputation and was a Spectre, as for her abilities, all Alliance Soldiers receive genetic engineering.

But femShep headbutting Krogan/punching people/physically intimidating people are some of the best parts of the game and the scene you describe had the single best line of the game ('That was for Thane, you SON OF A ****!') and one of the moments I actually allowed myself a little cheer. I don't want my revenge against Kai taken out of my hands based on what gender I choose to play, and seeing as Jennifer Hale voices the renegade options very well I wouldn't want to see her be anything but a no nonsense soldier who's a trigger click/dialogue option away from resorting to violence and threats.

Cunning and seduction is for Kasumi and Morinth. I'll stick with Commander 'I can bludgeon pretty hard' Shepard thanks. :D

...Okaaaaay... So you make this your headcanon for your Shep. We all have our headcanons.

My girl would never do that, though.

Not sure if serious thread....

Regardless of gender, all the cybernetically enhanced soldiers I've met are completely capable of stabbing bad guys in the gut with their omni-tool.

I think it doesn't make sense how female Shepard is intimidating some of the fiercest, most dangerous people in the galaxy, much less being able to demonstrate physical prowess on par with them.
That being said, I think the renegade dialogue for female Shepard for all Mass Effect games should've been centered more around the art of deception and seduction rather than outright intimidation, that is what a male Shepard does best.

For instance, during that scene with Kai Leng, rather than having a female Shepard break his sword and then stab him(which looks completely rediculous I might add), they should've had it so that right before femShep was supposed to stab she quickly turns around and goes

"Oh but Kai...."

*Kai Leng pauses*

"We could be so good together" Shepard says as she flirtfully twirls her hair.  Then while Kai Leng is distracted your male love interest and jump in and shoot Kai Leng in the head.
That would've been more realistic I think.
Female Shepard should not have the personality of a brute, more of a femme fatale assassin girl I think and it is not unheard of of such a character to use feminine charm to get her way.

Ummm this is the stupidest thing I have ever heard.  Keep your sexist idiocy to yourself

I knew he reminded me of someone. That jock from years ago who thought Shep should seduce everyone.
What a waste of time.
