Why don't we just put her in an apron and have her throw dishes at people.

Ok so...I completely disagree with the OP, but...I do find it interesting how in some places in the game even though fem-shep and man-shep have the exact same lines or actions it has a slightly different meaning when said by one gender as opposed to the other.

I really think you guys are overreacting. I am just suggesting Bioware make it so that we get a response more expected of a woman in femme shep's position.

I think it doesn't make sense how female Shepard is intimidating some of the fiercest, most dangerous people in the galaxy, much less being able to demonstrate physical prowess on par with them.

Speak for yourself, mate. I still get chills when I see my female Shepard's face, glowing with nasty scars and blood-red pinpricks for eyes. Especially in the dark areas of the game, I can't help but shudder a little. Anyone looking at that with the knowledge that this is the person who slotted a few hundred people, razed a batarian star system and is running around giving the Reapers the business has to be shaking in ther shorts.
Nevermind being able to headbutt a krogan and give Vega a nosebleed as far as physical prowess goes.

The thing is, the only one "expecting" any of that from a woman in Shep's position is you.

I know that she can do those things in the game, my point is that it doesn't make much sense, that is not how a lady acts.  Instead of headbutting the Krogan Shepard should've been able to use her feminine charm to breathe down the Krogan's ear before kneeing him in the quad.  That is more akin to how a woman would use her natural charm to overcome her lack of physical prowess.

Flat out headbutting a Krogan is more of what a male brute like renegade male Shepard would do.

Well that's sexist. Also you're talking about a universe where people have biotics and technological implants to enhance strength. Not to mention Shepard male or female, Paragon or Renegade is characterized as one of those intense personalities that commands attention.

Because women are incapable of being charming in ways that aren't overtly sexual amirite? Also why would a Krogan find a human attractive?

Because we see Krogan who find female Asari attractive(remember those two Krogan in Mass Effect 2 talking about how eating fish is like nailing the consort?) and Asari look like human females.  Sure a female Shepard could be charming in other ways but during desperate times it calls upon a woman to appeal to a male's core primal instincts to get her way whether it be distracting her male enemies or getting a discount on the citadel.

The only problem I have with femshep being identical is when she's sparring with vega. No way in hell that a girl (or any one the size of femshep) would have been able to fight vega the way she did. It was strength vs strength, no technique what so ever.

My first response after reading this is 'you and I have different opinions on what 'lady' constitues'. I think it makes perfect sense for Man and Woman Shepard to act similarly; both of them are Alliance grunts and trained the same way. Unless the N7 program features a seduction course exclusively for females that Shepard-Commanderess has partaken of, she would do exactly what male Shepard does in a hostile situation- and facing down an angry krogan or a sword-wielding tosser is very much a hostile situation.
Point is: Female Shepards have just as much right to brutish action as male Shepards. Certainly, one could argue that having the option to engage in seductive behaviour to get your way would be a nice touch, but then all of us old timer RPG gamers knew that introducing a voiced player character would make more options too cost-prohibitive.

You're so damn sexist. Why the hell does this have to be limited to women having all the seductive fun? I wish my male Shep could have whipped out his johnson to distract KL and then stab him. With the omni tool I mean.

If you don't want your Shepard to display "physical prowess" then just play as Paragon. Easy as.

I doubt it. If you miss an interrupt, he punches her in the face.

Also, OP, weren't you the one posting yesterday about how MaleSheps couldn't go gay for Garrus?

I don't really look in it in such black and white terms. Just because I don't think a female Shepard should be able to show as much physical prowess as a male does not mean I feel she should have no physical prowess. I think being a woman, female Shepard has other advantages at her disposal and she might as well use them.

Take for example Juliet from Lollipop Chainsaw. She's capable as a fighter but she also knows how to use her feminine charms to get her way. When so much is at stake in female Shepard's case there is no room for modesty. Whatever it takes be it seduction or destruction female Shepard should do it.

wut.

Part of the reason that female Shepard is attractive to a lot of us is that she DOESN'T blatantly play into sexual stereotypes.

Shepard should have made better use of that enhanced piece I'm sure Miranda gave him. You think he came out of that anything less than double his original dimensions? Now that would have been intimidating to wave in the face of enemies at various points in the game, especially the Asari. You want to gain Aria's respect the easy way?
