I'm about to start my next playthrough of the game this weekend and I was just curious how most people use their squad members. While playing as my adept I ended up just using them to breach certain protections... kinda made them feel like little less than extra powers.
Has anyone used positioning and other tactics with their squadmates? Such as moving a shotgun wielding squadmate up close on an enemies flank etc.

Imo the game design doesn't allow you to really use them in heavy combat. Sense you can't select different enemies or rotate the camera during pause, it's hard to assign duties.
I mostly just used group attack on important enemies. It's hard to position and move squad members when your behind cover sense you have to aim at the position.
This is one of the biggest downfalls of the game for me. Compared to other games it is very basic and lacking.
