During my latest Awakening game (original Ultimate Edition dvd, patched to v1.05) I have had the game freeze on me while loading the outside of Vigil's Keep. This was after returning from the silverite mine as the last main quest, so Assault on Amaranthine would be next. It has not happened before on this run.

I have tried going to a smaller area first and then to the Vigil, and have tried direct teleporting via the console. After that I just tried teleporting directly to the throne room to at least advance the story, which works to an extent, but after that the same thing happens while departing for the Dragonbone Wastes.

I have no major 3rd party mods installed, just the deathblowmod and the respec addon. I have tried disabling these, and even most of the other official DLCs, but to no avail. I have in my system a Q6600 2.4Ghz, 4gb ram, and a GTS8800 640gb videocard. I run DA in Windows 7, 1920x1080 resolution. My previous character had none of these problems, and was running in the same configuration.

I hope there is some way I can finish this game normally, it's the first where i'm being a total a-hole ingame. :-p

Are those mods simply placed in the override folder, or are they installed using the DAZIP utility?

The deathblow is in the override, the respec is a DAZIP iirc.

Your only option may be, then to reinstall the game... if you believe the respect mod has caused issues.
