Too human for me. The helmet they all wear always gave me the impression of taller more narrow head

Every race in the ME universe is radically different to humans, I think the Asari are about the closest in appearance, and they're blue with a squid head.
So why ohh why would you make the most mysterious and one of the most loved characters so boringly human.

I believe the artist responsible for this work of ART is called Timothy

His deviantart address is http://trpbootan.dev...Tali face&qo=30

Sorry, Tali isn't human, so this is wrong. It's just as bad as what we got, and nearly a complete rip off of Kasumi.

It was in the game going back to ME1 that the Quarians, of all the races, are the most human in appearance.

No, the ASARI are the most human in appearance.  They are entirely human outside of the head-tentacles.

Quarians have more of a turian body structure, with longer necks and glowing white eyes.  The only human-ish thing we know for certain they have, is the facial structure.  And even that's only with the eyes and nose.

I do like how the in-game picture gives her purple skin, and what looks like insectoid airholes going down the front of her neck.

The wiki has said "Quarian facial structure and hair actually makes them the most similar to humans in physical appearance." for years.

What i dont get is why they didn't just show her face.....according to the 6 and a half minute photoshop they gave you she apparently looks human...ish, so we know what she looks like....don't know why they couldnt put the extra effort to just render her face and put it in.

But noooo, they'd rather put all that effort in to Diana allers or whoever that **** was.

you bring up a very good point. i was one of the people who didnt want them to reveal her face at all. but if they were going to do it, they needed to do it right.

The in-game codex from ME1 and 2 also states that I believe.

Similar, not downright human.

More similar than Asari is downright human I would say.

That could be subjective. A humanoid with pale-blue skin, two large toes, three fingers, and glowing eyes is hardly "downright human", wouldn't you agree? I mean considering the codex, Quarian faces are supposed to be more similar than even the Asari. Give an Asari a baseball cap and even they look downright human from an artistic standpoint.

The only reason they are more similar than Asari would probably because of the head hair, something the other species lack.

Saying that Tali the picture would make her seem too human is simply ridiculous.
The Codex clearly states "Quarian facial structure and hair actually makes them the most similar to humans in physical appearance". That refers to the face.
Meaning that the human like appearance is valid.
Dealing with aliens, i'm sure that some people want beings that are completely different from humans. However, it is not impossible at all to find aliens that have evolved into a similar appearance to humans, or vice versa.

I for one love the look of the picture and think it does Tali far more justice than the Photoshop even though i have mentioned over and over that the artist that had created the picture on page 1 was "inspired" by the Photoshopped version.

Also, for those who say that Tali is supposed to be innocent... seriously, wth.
She is not the girl that you saw in Mass Effect 1. She has grown into a young woman and therefore don't keep thinking of her as some innocent 15 year old.
Seriously, the girl pwns with a shotgun...a SHOTGUN.
I cant use her in the same formation as i would use Wrex or Grunt and think of her as innocent.

Also, keep in mind, that from a game development standpoint, Bioware has pretty much refused to show non-human looking females outside of Dalatrass. And that exception is debatable because of Salarian biology.

The Krogan female was never actually shown (just a regular krogan model in drag).

As for the "looking human", I don't really care what the codex says in this case. Asari are literally just humans with blue skin and tentacle hair, while the only humanlike features Quarians have is facial structure (debatable), and having hair.

So at BEST, if you ignore the glowing eyes, Quarians are like humans only from the neck up. While Asari are like humans in every way except the hair and skin color.

I never thought of her as "innocent".  Naive maybe, but not "innocent."  She's from a race that is the best at surviving bad situations, when you first meet her, she'd been hunting GETH by herself, and being chased by Saren AND the Shadow Broker's agents, and fending them all off.  By herself.

And good LORD can she have a mean streak lol.

People gotta remember that Quarians, despite their immune systems, are tough-as-nails born survivors.  They can make do in situations where any other species would be at a total loss.

Tali was naive in the ways of the galaxy, but she was NOT "innocent".  Especially not by the time of 3.

The outline of Tali's face in ME2/3 looks quite human.  Considering the three fingers and leg structures, however, it does seem a bit of a stretch to call the quarians more human-looking than the asari.

Exactly.  From the neck down, they are like Turians without the hunch.  And its also heavily implied throughout the whole series that they have a tough "shell-like" body like the turians (similar body structure, dextro-amino, and Grunt stating that Turians and Quarian's are similarly tough (have to work the blade)).  Now, Grunt could have been talking about trying to cut through the suit, but I doubt it, I think he would have made that distinction.  And we know the suits themselves aren't particularly tough, just have a lot of countermeasures.
