And yeah, good luck to the writers when they bring back Morrigan.

Actually, the same goes for the whole DA:3 plot.

Behold! The consequences of expecting both branching choice and save importing.

I'd rather not have the cameo's in general. I feel that they are a little forced at times with no real reason. As for Hawke and the Warden, I'm okay for them not to come back.

If they have to do something mabey have you stumble upon a room full of dead bodies with a subtle hint that the Warden or Hawke may have done it. That would be nice little nod and open to interpretation.

My vote would be for cameos from old companion characters, if they're still alive, but not for old player characters.

I like that idea, something to suggest that our Warden/Hawke is still fighting the good fight would be enough for me. I think I'd rather keep it as just the cameos from past companions, so long as the relationship flags aren't glitched like Zevran's was in DA2.

Personally I think cameos have been a net-negative for the series.

My warden romanced Leliana and they were supposed to be off travelling together. Yet Leliana turns up working for the chantry in asunder, and DA2, which rather suggests that the ending I worked for, and was told about, seems to have been handwaved away. That grinds my gears. I'd much rather have kept the fairy tale ending and never seen either again.

I'm sure folks who had cameos from other old flames would also have cause for complaint. (And especially since they were all hit hard with the ugly stick in DA2).

And folks who chose to kill off a character in DAO should NOT have to find them walking around in a sequel.

The only exception to this are the non-romancable and non-killable NPC's such as Wynne and Shale. I don't find their cameos objectionable in the least.

My suggestion is that the writers restrict themselves to using non-romancable and non-killable characters for cameos in future stories, as these have less variable ending storylines.

How about you guys finish the story of 1 or 2 before you give us a new character with a new story?

The story of Origins was about defeating a Blight. The Archdemon was killed and the Blight defeated.

Yes,  the warden has no business with mage-templar conflict that ANDERS had started. The warden now live happily with Morrigan and the child beyond the portal.

The End.

Hawke, on the other hand, has some unfinished business with Cassandra. Don't ask me what that bussiness is. Ask Cassandra. I don't care about Hawke whether he makes a cameo or not. It makes no difference to me since he/she never is my character in the first place.

To be Continued.

You forget Morrigan.

Sure, that's Morrigan's tale, but The Warden plays a part in it.
