I am entitled to my opinion as you are to yours, I did not
like the ending of ME3, if you did I am happy for you. That is not sarcasm I
truly am happy for you and wish I could join you but in keeping true to myself
and my tastes I cannot.
Note: I "got" the ending, I simply did not like it.
I am entitled to speak my opinion as you are entitled to listen, or not as you
choose.
I am entitled to vote with my feet and my wallet by taking a wait and see
approach to buying Bioware products, as you are entitled to spend your money as
you see fit.
I am not to the point where I have said l plan to outright boycott Bioware, but
for the foreseeable future I can't see myself pre ordering another Bioware game
months early like I did with this one. I will, more than likely wait until the
game hits and the word of mouth is out and until you start supporting me I'm
entitled to that. Bioware has not lost me as a fan I am just not as staunch as
I once was. I give them kudos for such a risky move but for me it failed.
Most of us have had a game/book/movie series that "Jumped the Shark
"for us. Or an actor, writer, director who made that one film or book that
made us somewhat less of a fan. As a long time tabletop gamer this is nothing
new, I prefer the old world of darkness to the new. I like Pathfinder/3.5 over
4thed D&D, I have nothing against those that like what I don't, opinions
vary and that's cool.
But please stop throwing around this entitled thing like a
stone. Bioware is in no way obligated to change anything but if they don't want
to lose many a source of potential income they might want to consider the idea.
That is not entitlement it's good business. It is not as if we are asking them
to change the Mona Lisa and in this age of "Broken Steel-like"
changes and DVD's with alternate endings I don't think it is too much to ask for
the varied endings they crowed about for so long. In fact if we don't ask for
those varied endings we were promised we are not truly being fans (my opinion agree/disagree
as you like). Too often as consumers we feel we have to lie down and take what
we are spoon fed, in fact I had moved away from the movement for a bit but thanks
to those who insist on calling me entitled I have decided to step back up and
Hold the Line!!!!! (Thanks naysayers)
And yes in the end you are entitled to call me entitled but
I'm entitled to say you are full of hooey.
See how silly all this name calling gets:O
Hell Yes I'm Entitled
