Me and a friend managed to put our hands on an early draft of DA3's endings*.

[SPOILERS BEGIN HERE]















It appears that the player will be confronted by a "being of light", which will give him three options:

1. destroy all the remaining archdemons (does that imply that they all wake up together?), all darkspawn and everyone tainted by their corruption (as far as I know, ghouls and grey wardens).
2. infect everyone with the darkspawn corruption, while safeguarding their intelligence, effectively creating a new race (and I guess wiping out the existing ones?).
3. become an archdemon himself and control all the darkspawn (thus ending their threat, or conquering the world I guess).

And the best part about the ending of DA3? Magic is destroyed!

ME1 > ME2 > ME3 > (technological dark age) > DAO > DA2 > DA3 > (magic destroyed) > ME1 > ME2 > etc...

Ha... Even when I try to go to the DA forums to combat my depression, I'm still met with ME3 ending discussion.

I speculate that Gaider and friends won't ruin the rest of Bioware for everyone.

The thing with DA is I don't think most of the big questions, involving the existence or lack thereof of the Maker and the true origin of the darkspawn are actually that likely to really be answered. The setting isn't really focused on that, so if they skillfully avoid it with other entertaining plotlines it'll be fine.

You forgot to mention that the "being of light" is Sandal, who is a dwarven mage and you've been having a lot of creepy nightmares about chasing him through a forest.

not a forest, should be the Deep Roads (wait we already did that in DA2 @_@ and then he gave you a ...Catalyst that increases your chance of knocking Archdemons back!

Well even though these are fake i must say we couldnt become an archedemon even if we wanted to since we was never an old god. We could become a god i guess and the be corrupted? But that sound so stupid.

And make everyone into a darkspawn but you get to keep who you actually are. Well isnt that just the orginal race before the coruption?
