If Bioware corrects the ending, how would you feel about the whole thing?

When it's all said and done, is your opinion of Bioware going to be better or worse than it was when you were running at the beam? Are you going to be impressed with Bioware that they would show the humility to fix it? Or are you still going to be annoyed at the whole thing, just not bat-**** pissed anymore? (Or do you like it as is and don't want them to cave?)
I think my opinion of Bioware would actually be BETTER, because despite the fact that I think the ending blows, it takes some major cojones for a company to go back and correct their game. Then again, that's probably because they're feeling some serious pressure. But still.
So basically: BIOWARE! YOU CAN COME OUT OF THIS SMELLING LIKE A FREAKIN ROSE!
Thoughts?

Here's my question. Say in a month Bioware, without acknowledging their endings sucked, releases a big patch or DLC closing the plot holes, explaining the confusion and generally fixing it all up.

If they add a 4th option to reject Star Child I'll feel right about it.

Probably file another positive mental note about bioware, enjoy the ending, and be just as devoted if not more so to bioware than i was before.
Exactly. I'm not the only one. They REALLY hosed it, but still, more companies that really hose things don't spend their money to fix them unless forced to.

They could've just ignored us and waited until we eventually gave up, the fact they have confirmed they're going to do something about the ending makes me respect them more.
It'll take time until it comes out though but I'm putting my faith in them, they sure have the talent available to end this on a high note.

Unless it came with a message saying - We goofed, big time. Sorry. We ran out of time, had intended that this was going to be the ending and really, really mishandled the promotion of this. Then I'd be ever more wary of them. I'd be glad they fixed their product to meet the expectations of a large number of their customers. I wouldn't be all flowers and unicorns though.

So they 'fixed' it without being forced? Where is the fix and ... ever heard of the Retake ME3 movement? First all the apologists and now you people are praising Bioware for fixing their ending 'without being forced'? Gotta be kidding me dude.ghrthtdhdfhdh wrote...

If it's a playable expansion on to the end, and it gives you new, better, more varied endings, including one of them "happier", then I'll probably go back to loving BW.

If they make it brilliant and free I'll be floored, to be honest. If it's brilliant and not free I'll still be thrilled, though a little sad that it's come to this.
My trust in BW will be restored fully if the ending is decent and they either don't charge for it, or make it part of a really solid and valuable DLC (more robust that "From Ashes", which I'd say was just *barely* worth the price). I understand the realities of this business, and the costs of creating content, so if they need to package it to make it financially feasible, I'll understand.
If the whole thing feels as thrown together as the current ending I won't be making anymore pre-orders, this whole experience has been too emotionally costly for me.

They shouldn't dumb their game down for the masses.

If they make the ending as emotional as Mordin's death scene I will love them forever.
This. Mordin's death (and Legion's, and Thane's, for that matter) are everything that the current ending is not. Tied into to themes of the franchise, emotionally moving, deeply satisfying, meaningful. EDIT And logical.
If we get an ending (preferrably several endings that reflect our choices across all 3 games, I believe we were promised something along those lines.....) that does this, I will sing praise for BioWare to anyone who'll hear it. And to some who don't xD

Regardless, I have lost some faith in their writing and judgement. A good fix here, and another great game (maybe DA3) would go a long way toward letting me chalk this up to a lapse, rather than a trend.
