They won't change or rewrite the endings, they'll just provide clarification on them. A lot of you are going to be disappointed.

Maybe. However, if they are to do just that, I really see no point in releasing any DLC. A .pdf would be much more fitting.

They have many ways out. I hope they provide a set of endings that are different, recognize player choice and make sense. That's the least they should do.

I will only be fine about it if they go indoctrination without changing a word, and make an awesome expansion. The second best option is doing nothing. Half-assing it is a uselses idea, as is changing it, it cheapens the thing. Indoctrination is a value add, and doing nothing keeps the value the same.

Difficult to say at the this point it all depends what bioware does or what they dont do.

Throw out StarChild and the three junk endings and really give us a chance to take back earth and show that our choices mattered... I'd be happy.

ME3 is a strong, not great, game - but I would have a damn good time playing and replaying with a respectable finish to the game.

The DLC will have to be more than an explanation to win me back. But if they do a good job of it -- and I'm more than willing to pay them for the work -- I'll be waiting for the preorder for DA3 CE to come out. Otherwise, waiting for user reviews before I consider shelling out money for it.

I really want to like it. I didn't but right up until the end I did. Obviously depends on how well they do it, but it would have to be pretty bad for me to not like them again. Almost everything they have done was really good. Just the ending of this (and well DA2 wasn't great) but everything else was just awesome!

If they make the ending as emotional as Mordin's death scene I will love them forever.

This. Mordin's death (and Legion's, and Thane's, for that matter) are everything that the current ending is not. Tied into to themes of the franchise, emotionally moving, deeply satisfying, meaningful. EDIT. And logical.

If we get an ending (preferrably several endings that reflect our choices across all 3 games, I believe we were promised something along those lines.....) that does this, I will sing praise for BioWare to anyone who'll hear it. And to some who don't xD

I will be satisfied if they do that unless they mess the endings even more (is that even possible?)

If they give me a "Broken Steel" type DLC that picks up where Anderson's APC stops on the way to the beam, I would forgive them. I know this would not be free since it would contain a lot of added content.

People who are happy with the current endings will by that time already have traded in the game for something else. Or maybe they'd download it and play it anyway.

they have forever tarnished the game, a new ending will only get the visual stain out, but deep down, the stain is still there

I've loved Bioware since NWN. I want to believe in them again. I want to give the company my money so that they can continue to create excellent games.

If they make a genuine effort to fix this, with no ill will towards the fans? I will come trotting right back and buy the already-planned (NON-ending, I don't really but into the "they did it on purpose" argument, even if there is some circumstantial support. There's circumstantial support for just about anything) ME3 DLC.

They literally need to do the following....

Shep wakes up

boss fight with harbinger/TIM (with dialog)

show cutscenes of the fleet you assembled battling other Reapers

Have your choices throughout the game/series decide the fate of every squadmate, species and homeworld...the Galaxy(don't just bottle neck the entire decision tree into 1 ending that results in mass extinction and plotholes)

These things were expected. They need to make these things happen and they can do them in whatever way they like....I'm sure they could add their special touch and it'll be golden

I will be depressed with how their games have been going recently, not trust them, but continue buying their games/DLC. To be fair, I'm guessing all other game endings will be highly scrutinized from here on out.

I would be very happy because that would mean my choices mattered and my EMS mattered. More importantly i'll be able to play the ME games without ever feeling that it is all pointless in the end. Does that mean I'll trust BioWare in the future? Probably not, this mess destroyed their reputation forever IMO.

If that "ending dlc" will be good i'll forgive them everything, and forget all about this nonsense for ever.

What happened to the choice/consequence system implemented in ME2s suicide mission?

That was what I went into ME3s final mission expecting....its what I expected when the game was announced last year....hugely disappointed with the absence of such an effective game mechanic

Bioware gets a mulligan....don't mess it up

I'm all about second chances. If they fix it, and do it right, no harm no foul in my book. I'll go back to happily playing instead of spending so much time here.

If they patch it up well, then I'd be impressed. Swallowing ur pride is a hard thing to do. More so there should be a corrective action on the part of the process that let space magic get through the review process. Also, a revamped random drug screening process for writers and creative types...

I would like them to make the ending clearer and give me some closure.
They can obviously see that the fans are angry about not seeing how it all ended (or, if not believing the indoctrination theory, they are angry about it not making any sense).
If Bioware would just make a more clear and definitive ending I would be satisfied.
If they'll charge us money for it or leave it as it is, I don't see myself buying more of their games in the future.

To be honest I'd rather they just claim responsibility for the current ending. Something along the lines of "We realize we let our fans down and did not live up to their expectations, we would like to apologize for that". In the end, it's their game, their creation, we just choose to pay to play it. Changing the ending via DLC would be a kind of a cheap move, regardless whether the fans want it or not.

I _want_ to throw money at them, I want an MMO I want DLC I love the Mass effect setting. If the ending is fixed I would be a little miffed it ever happened but all large organisation screw up at one point or another, so no grudges held.

Right now I can't even bear to boot up ME1 let alone anything else.

Can't say until you see how it is done. I personally would prefer nothing is simply ret-conned. Answering everything logically would be better because it is much easier to accept. Even to the extent of explaining htf your squadmates got on board the normandy.

I'll be happy with whatever they do.
But really it isn't going to matter the "Retake" movement shows more and more every day just how they're going to inevitably be impossible to please. Every time they get closer to their goal they get less and less reasonable about things.

BioWare is pretty much screwed no matter what they do. I really wonder why they waste time worrying about fans like this.

I lost faith when it became painfully obvious they deviated from the original intended story which involved dark energy. However, with that being said. I would be willing for forgive them if they managed to salvage the ending and turn it into something that provides closure, and allows all the major choices we made during the course of the trilogy to actually matter. They would also have to write one hell of an epilogue because I want little blue children damnit ;)

I'll still persuade them to leave EA.

Even without the ending problem, Bioware's name is getting overused. There are 8 Bioware branches now, and I blame Dr.Muzyka for that.
