If they stick to RGB only ending then it still sucks.

If they listen to their fans and change the ending for the better (with some real effort) then I'll think even higher of them than before I played ME3. It shows a willingness to make amends for something that a lot of people see as a horrible mistake.

Those tacked-on copy and paste "endings" in different colors will fade in obscurity, becoming an internet joke. You know, "Remember when Bioware gave us that silly ending? Oh well, glad they fixed it."

I loved ME1-ME3 right up until this "ending", so I can look past it.

It really has to depend on how well the ending goes. If they take their time and let go of that "artistic integrity", maybe it'll be good enough to forgive them. Even still... so many lies...

They have lost my loyalty with this crap. If they fix it, they might gain back my loyalty but there will still be trust issues.

If they change it, they will pull of a masterpiece. What more is there to feel sour about? The RME movement is about getting the changes; once that is accomplished there is no reason to be angry about anything.

Here's my question.  Say in a month Bioware, without acknowledging their endings sucked, releases a big patch or DLC closing the plot holes, explaining the confusion and generally fixing it all up.

When it's all said and done, is your opinion of Bioware going to be better or worse than it was when you were running at the beam?  Are you going to be impressed with Bioware that they would show the humility to fix it?  Or are you still going to be annoyed at the whole thing, just not bat-**** pissed anymore?  (Or do you like it as is and don't want them to cave?)

I think my opinion of Bioware would actually be BETTER, because despite the fact that I think the ending blows, it takes some major cojones for a company to go back and correct their game.  Then again, that's probably because they're feeling some serious pressure.  But still.

So basically:  BIOWARE!  YOU CAN COME OUT OF THIS SMELLING LIKE A FREAKIN ROSE!

Thoughts?

Depends what you mean.....if it just had some more exposition added I'd be cool.  If they re-did the whole ending they would be a bunch of wimps tbh.

If they make the ending as emotional as Mordin's death scene I will love them forever.

Exactly this. If they come back with an ending that's emotionally fulfilling, thematically correct, and makes sense with established lore, I'll be even more loyal to them than I was before this because I'll know that they genuinely do care about their fans. Image IPB

Depending on how its handled.. and hopefully in patch form but I wont be holding my breath on that one it would potentially go a long way to restoring my faith in the awesomeness that should be bioware.

I would feel better towards bioware, but still suspicious of future releases just because the rest of the game still seems rushed (especially post Rannoch).

Assuming the plot holes, circular logic, and lack of closure were corrected, and the impact of the player's previous choices were restored? I'd forgive them completely. The other 95% of the game was terrific. Fixing a mistake this big, doing right by their fanbase? They'd regain my respect.

Be mighty happy, treat the current sitation as a simple family spat and move on.

They say sorry by changing, I say sorry by spending money and we are both happy. No recriminations required.

If the new ending lives up to the greatness of the rest of the game, I'll change my user review and change what I tell all my friends about it. And probably buy a few more DLC's.

TBH, very meh. I expected alot out of BW. My fault at that. However, I will give credit & kudos where due. If they offer content that brings closure and the promised "wildly" varied endings, then I will be happy that my $ was not wasted.

As for regaining trust and respect, well.... that all depends. If they provide a cogent explanation as to why the ending was the way it is, especially if they stick to their guns, I would be fine with that. Even if I don't agree, I'll respect that they had a certain vision. Then I'll be "thank you for the journey. Sorry we don't see eye to eye in your artistic vision, but you have made a very memorable series. But alas, I will be moving on to other pastures and may periodically dabble in future products. It just won't be at full price."

How would I feel? I'll let you know after I've seen how they change ending(s).

But no matter how I end up feeling about the ending it self, I'll have a new found respect for BioWare for their willingness to take fan feedback to this degree.

Actually just tweeted something similar to this. As far as I'm concerned depends what they do with it. If they just "clarify" it then I'll probably not be militant anymore, but I'll still be disappointed. If they actually do something good with it then I'll forgive them but not forget it.

If we get more Liara as well then I'll soon forget it from staring into those amazing eyes. ;)

I'd still be eerie of them to be honest. Sure they would gain some points for fixing a mess up but it is still a mess up that should not have happened at all if they just delayed the game to work more on the ending.

Hmm... Define "correct".

If you mean, change the ending completely, then.... conflicted, i mean, i thought the ending was really bad, you can see the reasons for that all around, no need to go into specifics, but i really.... dont like the idea of developers changing their endings.... no matter how bad they are.

Now, if you mean ADD endings to it, new outcomes or epilogues, then im all for it.

Well, OP, it depends on how they fix it. If it fit with the rest of ME3 and fixes the issues a lot of fans had, then great! Thank you Bioware, for listening to your fans!(Still would be kind of ticked off that they messed it up in the first place) Faith would kind of restored to Bioware.

If the new ending feels tacked on and/or doesn't fix our problems with original endings.....

To cut a long story short:

Is a corrected, revised edition of 'Mass Effect: Deception' going to be 'better' than the infamous original version, or is it going to be an affront to the artistic integrity of Del Ray/W.C. Dietz?

if i get an optional happy ending where every one Lives(including shepard) i'll not only hail bioware, but preach about mass effect forever!!!...... so long as it doesn't become an MMO, that would be the death of it all!!!!

I think the indoctrination theory is best!  shepard wakes up on the ramp down to the citadel beam and is either not indocrinated or is indoctrinated, at which point i think it'd be cool if you could use paragon or renegade prompts to break the indoctrination!

If they do it right and make it so your choices actually matter, I'd love it. I was prepared to give it 10/10 until those final few minutes. If they only re-insert the cut dialogue and add minor explanations to the ending, I won't be recommending it to anyone. And I definitely won't be pre-ordering from them again.

I would respect Bioware for doing it and listening to their fans.
I will then replay that whole Priority: Earth level to see my game come together.

Depends on whether they change or keep the ending. If they keep the ending without resolving plot issues, it means they disappointed many fans.
