If Bioware corrects the ending, how would you feel about the whole thing?

I loved Broken Steel, and I imagine I'll love this all the same.

I'll be impressed if they give the fans what they really want: a new ending that makes sense, accounts for all of your decisions, and has closure. However, it would take a lot to convince me to buy another Bioware game after this debacle...

That depends on how much effort they put in.

Bioware would earn a loyal customer - I'd buy every ME3 DLC, and give a second look at Dragon Age (I've never been much of a fantasy fan)...

Actually, you know what? They fix the ending (no more Catalyst with circular logic, option to prevent destruction of mass relays, explanation of future of galaxy afterwards) - I'll buy one of those N7 hoodies.

Depending on how they do it. As of now, I have no idea what they will do, so I'll stick to 'cautious optimism' for now. Don't want my hopes crushed again.

If I like the result, then I will feel a lot better about the whole thing. And I will buy all other DLCs they release the game(well, maybe except of multiplayer-related things, because I don't play MP), as I did with previous games.

I would prefer indoc theory (well, it seems logical to me), but as long as new ending provides closure I need, it is all good:)

I liked most of the game, and I would love to replay it several times, but with current ending it just feels pointless.

It would depend yeah. But at all honesty? I'm willing to forget about all the drama that the ending caused me, Mass Effect is too much of a great game to really be ruined forever. And I would hate to have to move on from it.

They would earn a lot of respect back, though they would earn even more if they admitted they messed up.  At least I would be able to buy future Mass Effect games and DLC if they fix it.

If they fix the ending it will be the greatest game I have ever played.

depends on exactly how they fix the endings. but if that fixing includes an option of Shepard surviving and reuniting with LI/crew at the end? I will love them and proceed to buy every upcoming story DLC for ME3 without hesitation.

Wow, I'm amazed how many people would actually be happier with Bioware because of the whole thing. I guess we're just great people. lol

If Bioware changes the ending, I feel extremely good. It would show that they not only listen but care about their community. It would renew my faith in the company.

If they release a worthwhile ending, I'll feel...exhausted. But that's better than angry and exhausted. Seriously, it shouldn't take the kind of effort going on here to get sensible, non-plagiarized endings to games.

But, if they do release a worthwhile ending, I'll consider purchasing DLC (after reading -user- reviews). I'm definitely not going to preorder collector's editions of any of their games any time soon. But, I'll wait for -user- reviews of any new BioWare games.

If BioWare doesn't release a worthwhile ending DLC, well, I'll take that as a sign that they don't want me as a customer anymore. I'd part ways and just replay their games from the time before they became part of EA. I also have piles of other games to keep me busy with new games coming out all the time from other developers. I'd be a bit sad because I really want to like Bioware. But life goes on.

Better cause it means they realize that they made a bad call and correct it, and they care about their fanbase.

Depends on how much they're going to fix and how things look, if the Shepard living ending feels more like the "Bittersweet" ending BioWare keeps talking about in terms of losing so much but still having a few things left like The Normandy Crew, then I'll be willing to forgive these endings.

I'll never pre-order again but I'll at least consider buying their products if they look appealing.

I would have a huge amount of respect for a company who would own their mistakes and fix them in good faith. So many people talk about this being a dangerous precedent of some kind, but despite that there are dozens of previous examples of this kind of thing happening, I mostly take issue with the word dangerous. What is so bad about a company taking negative feedback, and using it to fix an otherwise beloved project? I for one would applaud Bioware for any changes or fixes to the ending of ME3. Please do so!

We don't need any more "clarification", the series has very clearly defined rules from which we can safely fill in the blanks ourselves, aside from the plotholes. But the ending we have now is still a slap to the face regardless of how poorly it's presented.

Think about it, if they went ahead and gave us an epilogue to what we have now it would go something like this:

- The galaxy was thrown into a presumably never ending dark age as travel between systems was rendered impossible. Since research or tampering of the mass relays was forbidden, chance of replicating the technology was nonexistent.

- Earth was no longer able to sustain life after countless ships and armadas where stranded there, the resulting war was quick and bloody with the krogan ultimately gaining dominance but soon died off from a lack of resources. The majority of races involved where driven to extinction.

- The Normandy and her crew where stranded on an unknown and hostile planet and lived out the rest of their lives in isolation and fear. Garrus and Tali quickly starved to death, and your LI died alone and grieving.

Anything else would defy the canon and thus be even worse then what we have now.

We don't need them to fix that ending, we need them to fix the game by giving us NEW endings that aren't so insulting. If they do THAT then I'll sing of their name 'til the end of time.

Why correct when you can easily expand on the indoctrination theory, keep the original game and just add on to it..?

If they continue to be condescending in their PR maneuvers and wind up providing a half-hearted attempt at a 'fix', then I'll stop following their products as closely (ME was the series that really got me interested in them to begin with and is what prompted me to take a look at their other games).

On the other hand, if they really come through with something cool that delivers on the promises they made leading up to the game's release, I'll have regained faith and look forward to what they release next. Up until now, I've been a customer willing to shell out for the expanded collector's editions of their games, and whether I stay in that boat or slip away as someone who watches them passively and waits for their titles to be bundled into a bargain bin compilation is up to them.

I'll still pick up their games; it's just a matter of whether I'll do it in a way that will generate any kind of profit for them and EA.

I don't see why we just cant have an extra option on top of the one's we had .I find it hard to accept that our's characters who we have been told were "our's" can have our choices taken away at the last minute and they can then say i'm sorry but your Shepard which we told you was your's really isn't. Its a role playing game. If this was Dnd and the GM suddenly decided at last the minute after a 5 year campaign just to give me 3 options DIE, DIE, "and DIE kind of". i would think it was crazy and wonder why i had bothered in the first place. They created the story which is fair enough but, but they gave us freedom to shape it.To say we can't have a choice at the end is unfair. .Omg i'm a girl geek...:(
