I wouldn't like if after the (perfectly justified) ending hate Bioware'd make every choice revolve around destroying the Reapers and then retiring  to live a content life with LI. I'd hate it more so because I think the Reapers are awesome and I (and my Shepard) don't want to utterly destroy them.So I cooked up a very basic scenario for an improved ending choice.  

So lets say that in the DLC ending you pull a magic trick at the end with a magic device.

In one scenario only your body dies from using it while you consciousness remains intact . You upload yourself into the Reapers and become their leader, an essential Machine God and then you order them to retreat. There could be a nice and huge CGI cutscene, Reapers "eyes" turn green or something symbolizing the change. Everybody is happy, everybody shakes hands and such. Then there is a ceremony (perhaps with your funeral) , you see the results of your victory with each race, etc( it'd be like a perfect happy ending minus Shepard). Then when the Normandy and crew is out on an exploration they meet with your Reaper armada and you conduct a final convo with them, a final goodbye. It'd be either you talking through a Reaper, using a Sovereing or Harbinger like hologram, a "directly controlled" Husk of some sort or a Shepard shaped Android( it giving off Reaper mechanical sounds sometimes would be badass IMO).

Your Shepard and the Reapers would basically turn into eternal guardians and sources of knowledge afterwards for further generations(and you'd meet them in ME4 if there will be a sequel to Me3 by any chance). This'd be a bittersweet ending still( which Bioware wanted anyway) because while everybody else is safe, Shepard sacrificed her humanity, LI and everything and was cursed with eternal duty. On the other hand she'd turn into an immortal machine god. Whats more epic than that and more fitting for the greatest hero of the Galaxy? My Oblivion character can turn into a god, but my Shepard cannot?

Also Harbinger should take a larger part of the story with a huge conversation with him. 

There should also be a huge and ridiciously hard boss fight at the end( maybe even combating Harbinger in your Reaper form if you choose that ending?).
