For me, currently going through my second playthrough, 1st time I used Morrigan, Alistair, Wynne, and Leliana. Second playthrough I'm doing my own mage healer and keeping leliana but this time using Sten (trying to turn him into a tank) and Dog.



Leliana: Kept her for the personality plus the fact shes probably the cutest NPC in a computer game Ive ever come across (I dare you to disagree with me after hearing her declare Sten as a "big softie" lol) but would switch her out every now and then for Morrigan for some of the tougher battles (only on first time around though, second time I'm more knowledgeable about turning her into a decent ranged support character rather than being useless lol).



Alistair: I liked him at first but he seemed to go from sarcastic and funny to whinny and annoying as the game progressed but I stuck with him til the end to see if he would redeem himself but it didnt happen for me tbh.



Morrigan: She irritated the hell out of me nuff said.



Wynne: She was boring as hell which annoyed me cuz I couldn't afford to lose her on account of being an awesome healer.



Sten: Hard nut to crack this one but oh so worth it when you start to get to know him... hes awesome.



Dog: Dog has cemented himself now as a permanent companion through every playthrough, wish I'd have seen sense and used him earlier.



Looking forwards to putting Ogrehn, Shale, and Loghain to use next time, Loghain just seems badass and Shale/Ogrehn seem like they could be hilarious. I spose I'll have to try Zevran out eventually but he really doesn't appeal to me atm.

After sitting in camp and thinking it over a bit more, I think Schmooples is the best.



Where else am I gonna get a "subterranean bunnypig" to hang with?

Well, I like Morrigan the most, excellent character, both the writing and voice work imo.



Leliana is adorable, but I dislike it when she looks sad, as her face clearly isn't made for that. Looks silly. Oh, and Schmooples is awesome.
