Ok I might be wrong then. But my first playthrought was without multiplayer and I took the green ending. Didn't have shep breath though.

some of the valid reassons of why not everyone does MP its because not everyone has a gold sub with xbox live, and the mass effect game comes with a  2 days free to play but when its over and you play the game again later how you gonna get the EMS again ?

I do like the multiplayer but some people cant play it since they might not have a strong enough internet connection to support a multiplayer game.

Xbox users need to pay for a gold membership to play online too, so there is that possibility. Don't assume anything, try to think from every angle. You know what they say about assuming things don't you?

Shep's breath is only from Destroy (hence a lot of the early Indo Theories) and you have to have at least 4000 effective assets, without multiplayer at all you need a total of 8000.

To anyone who wants to find Gibbed's Mass Effect 3 Editor go here

360 users will also need Horizon (I prefer that one anyways)

360 quick tutorial:
1. Move ME3 save to USB
2. Plug USB into PC
3. Open Horizon
4. Find your save and drag to desktop
5. Drag save into blank (in the middle) area of Horizon
6. Go to content and extract (right click) your save (Save_0001)
7. Open in Gibbed's Editor
8. Edit, then save when done
9. Replace your save (the Save_0001) in content with the new one (again right-click)
10. Save Rehash Resign, then drag back to USB

I liked the MP. However, let's in about 3 years from now I suffer a traumatic brain injury that makes me forget how sensationally bad the ending of ME3 is and I want to play it again to get the best ending. The MP servers will be a ghost town by then and it would be nice to be able to see get those points to set my massively injured mind at ease walking into the final mission.

wrong, in 3 years the multiplayer servers of me3 will be offline!
but then again, we will have new dlc for more war assets!

It is not possible to obtain an EMS of 4,000 without implementing MP. If someone says otherwise, they gibbed it, fooled around with their PC files, confused TMS with EMS or they're just lying. It has been proven that you cannot do it.

I'm opposed because my internet is ****ed up and I can't play it. That means I can't get the best ending in the game AT ALL.

Not without MP or editing your save or files. If you got it through SP alone, screenshot. Especially since there aren't “over” 5,000 EMS to obtain. Proof, please.

That actually depends on ME2. If you destroyed Maelon's data in ME2 you can't. You need the extra EMS that female krogan gives you when she lives. Without that you're stuck at tops 7000 something TOTAL military strength.

I didn't destroy Maelon's data and I imported a 100% paragon save from ME1/2 and got 3800ish EMS. Completed every possible scan/quest.

No. EMS doesn't carry over into a new game.

MP in any form is nothing but trash and i don't care for it.

It is possible to obtain over 5k ems. I got 5700 without playing a single multi player. My total war assets was 11400. I used me1 and 2 saved data. In me2 I saved malons data and made sure that all of my squad members survived the suicide mission. I also played all of he dlc. So maybe it's because of that. I will try to upload the picture to show u.

Even with all of those choices, you won't get that many. Upload a screenshot showing the values of your assets, please.

Done all the same things and my total war asset are around 7,5k

... How the hell did you even get above 10k?

EMS/War Assets was such a poor utility in-game. Given the almost same endings, your war assets somehow determine whether your buildings break during the explosion? What?!
