They obviously made the ems a bit short sp when they add dlc like omega and it adds some more. People that are a bit short will want to buy it, and also that original game + dlc doesn't make it too easy to max out ems

That....makes it worst actually.

A Bioware QA person said they got 6000 EMS with no multiplayer... but am very skeptical.

You can do it. With iOS apps. Sucks for those who don't have iPhones.

EA has a knack for alienating its customers, that's for sure.

PS3 users cant. Because some war assets are dependent on playing ME1 and Genesis doesn't cut it.

Also some clusters in the Terminus and Attician Traverse seem to be inaccessable. The pointer will indicate that a cluster is there, but there wont be an "Enter System" option. This denies us some War Assets as well.

I noticed this on the PC version too.  I imported my ME2 save which was imported from my ME1 save and at the end of the game I saw on the galaxy map that there were several systems that showed reaper presence but were locked out to me.  I don't know why.  I did all the sidequests that I was presented with.

24 pages and counting, the answer is still no unless Bioware would care to contradict us?

NO ONE should be forced to play MP, wait for future SP DLC, OR, install any Apps to achieve the best ending to a game... It's just sleazy cross-polination on EA's part.

This is the same on 360, so it's not a PC exclusive problem - if it is a problem, it might mean some kind of DLC missions are coming for those systems... who knows, only BoiWare I guess.

No you can't. And no amount of LOCKDOWNS! or End of Line's (god those guys are so witty) is going to change that.

Thank you ****ing very much. Need your help in fighting the fight here.

They did contradict us in the other thread. Chris said "We're not lying!" and did the customary lockdown. No explanation was given.

I don't understand why people are so upset about not being able to obtain 4000+ EMS, which only shows a 15 second teaser clip?

Are you people honestly going to throw fits because you can't see that completely non-essential clip in your playthrough? Honestly, what does it matter? There's unlikely to ever be a Mass Effect 4 that continues Shepard's story and allows you to import ME3 data anyway.

Yes, you can play Datapad (i.e. check @masseffect 3 times a day) instead. Or Infiltrator

Are you assuming that every living person on the planet is in possession of an Apple device?

Perhaps Shep living matters in the DLC... think of that, smart a*s!?

the bottom line that no where on the game box itself does it say that to access ALL content available in single player you need an internet connect, and xbox live gold account and or an iphone...as such it is false advertisement since you need one of those things to access all the content available in single player, regardless of what said content is or how long it is...

I just love that it has taken forever for people to finally get that Total Military Strength X Galactic Readiness Rating = Effective Military Strength....

I don't appreciate being forced to play multiplayer - because, even though I have awesome internet service and I enjoy the multiplayer aspect, not everyone is in this position. As for the iCrap CrApps - I didn't like Steve Jobs when he was alive, so there's no reason I'm going to buy his garbage for idiots who can't use a mouse with more than one button now. I shouldn't need to go out, buy an iTard phone, download an application to said phone and dink with it to get credit in a game that I already have installed on my computer in order to get access to all available content for said game.

I shouldn't HAVE TO jump through marketing hoops to fully enjoy a game THAT I ALREADY PAID $60 FOR!

I do like the multiplayer, but I don't always have time for it. So, taking my GRR away is, well, grr....

Not sure why so many people are opposed to multiplayer. It's coop and easy to get your readiness to 100%. Hell, if you gather all the points, you don't even need to get to 100%. I didn't think I would like the MP, but after getting used to it I try to do a couple matches each night. More if it's with friends.

It's simple for me, I dislike any game dedicated to pure combat.

My Shep was utterly distentegrated in my ending.  No coming back from that.  Do you honestly think they would make DLC exclusively for the people that got the Renegade/Intake of breath ending?  It's a really silly, easter egg scene anyway and I can't believe people are so upset that they can't get it.  I know I know, the point is that Bioware lied.  But Mass Effect is all about choice...and if you choose not to play Multiplayer, well then I guess you can't fanasize about your Shepard surviving the events of ME3.

Mass Effect is about choice. Multi-player has nothing to do with that “choice”. You act as though MP has always been a part of the series. It was always advertised by Bioware as a separate entity from single player. An alternative way to gain EMS for those players who do not want to grind and complete every mission. Completely optional.

And as for it being an easter egg, what proof do you have of this beside the assumption of others who are not affiliated with Bioware? An easter egg that's attached to one specific ending? If it were an easter egg for the fine fellows who partake of MP, then one would think it would be something you could get on every ending.

You may not believe people are upset about this, but I find it hard to believe that Shepard living wouldn't be a big deal to some. I mean, it's only the protagonist of every single game.

I'm not totally sure if you actually can, but two or three multiplayer matches (even on lowest difficulty) will give you more than enough. You could have all you need in an hour (20 minutes a match). It sucks, but it's not like you have to grind a bunch of characters.

The only issue with this is the degrading readiness rating in MP. It's fine if you only have one character. If you have multiple imports, you'd have to play MP regularly to keep the rating up for each import. If you only play let's say an hour for import A, and do not play it again for weeks, when it comes time to play import B, you'd have to once again play MP because the rating would most likely by then degrade back to the default 50%. If you decide not to play for a couple of months and begin another character, you'd have to once again to play MP to get it back up from the default. So to say you only have to play it once under those circumstances is misleading.

I was just wondering, does the EMS take into account DLC from ME1-ME2? Cause if they does, then perhaps that's what makes the difference between those who can and those who can't (which would be a very bad move from Bioware: DLC should makes things easier, not be mandatory)?

This problem could have been solved so ****ing easily...
Since it's called GALACTIC readiness and it's based on MULTIPLAYER the easiest thing to do was to permanently raise the % of 1 for every X hundreds or thousands of promoted characters.
There, problem solved.

Instead nooo-hooo. They want people to play until they shut down the sever in a year or so just to squeeze all the money they can.

yes it does I've 100% ME 1 & 2 with all DLC, still not enough to top even 4000 ems
