You could download the free iOS datapad app and get bonus readiness without multiplayer. Or buy the infiltrator game. It would be better for them to have other single-player options but this is really your only options other than multiplayer to boost your readiness.  And at least the datapad app is free.

Statistically more people have android phones, not iPhones, and anyway it is a moot point, as I bough a PC game for my PC, I should not be forced to use some other devices to get access to the full product I have already paid for.

Totally agree, I play on Xbox but do not have live gold and I do not feel that I should have to! When they announced MP I remember them catagorically saying that it would not detract from the single player game.

I do have an iPhone and yes I have the data pad app but honestly other than the codex it is incredibly boring. Sorry but I don't feel that I should have to pay more OR play online through whatever means to unlock this when it is and always has been a single player game.

Bah I am so fed up of this incompetence.

The outcry about this seems to be getting louder, and I think when the extended cut comes out it will be even worse. Hopefully they're listening to us!

@Tietj Honestly I hope it does. I mean the fact that there is a sticky post saying something that is impossible is ludicrous.

I understand that there are bigger issues currently for bioware but they need to sort this sooner rather than later.

TBF I am getting bored of typing the same things again and again in all the threads that pop up but I feel that if I do not add my support then I am partly to blame.

You could download something on thepiratebay that makes your Galactic Readiness at 100% in SP only.

Sure. PC guys always have a workaround. This does not excuse Bioware in any way.

Yep. Being a PCist with a convenient way to hack around this, I still think it's completely unjustified. This was definitely an explicit promise, and they've broken it.

What's worse, nobody seems to even acknowledge it! It's not like it'd be hard to patch it so that without MP the readiness defaults to 60% instead…

If this doesn't get addressed soon, I'm going to be…well, I dunno how much more dissatisfied with BioWare (and especially EA) I can be, but I guess we'll find out.

Edit: In Europe, where there are actual consumer rights, this is an actionable thing (unlike the ending which is a bit less clear-cut).

Has anyone tried contacting Bioware about this since the sticky thread saying that it is possible was removed?

My guess/hope is that the Extended Cut will readjust some of the war asset values to allow them to add up to 4,000 after the Readiness cut.

Yeah I realise that there is an App you can download, and that if you are on a PC you can find "help" to change your GR but let's be honest that isn't the point.

We all paid for a game so why can't we access all the endings, why have they been kept for MP only? I have no issues at all with MP being added to the game if it doesn't affect the SP experience but I feel like the MP section is now getting preferential treatment. They can access all endings and have free MP DLC as well.

Then to have a guide that states that a SP runthrough can get high enough assets to get all the endings, only to find that you can't just doesn't make sense.

But the biggest mystery for me is that this issue seems to be going on without any response or acknowledgement from Bioware? What are they thinking.

If you're talking about the Prima guide, then Bioware isn't liable for that since Bioware isn't Prima.

There is still no excuse for the official FAQ and other Bioware statements though.

I find that hard to believe.

Sir,

you can. I've done it.

1. Import you ME1,2 (make sure you do paragons) eg. Keep Wrex alive, Rachni Queen alive etc...
2. do all the side quest + obtain all war assets. The easiest way is simply look for a wiki guide i.e. ME wiki.com
3. Everyone must be loyal

it's really not hard at all. I find a lot of threads of people whining..........it's all because they're lazy and don't want to put in the effort.

the only bad thing about doing all the war assets accomulation is that Bioware botchered the journal system (so it takes much longer)

@Seifer006

I've calculated that the highest possible war asset values (after accounting for mutually exclusive ones) are:

Alien: 1000
Alliance: 1701
Asari: 668
Cerberus: 260
Crucible: 815
Geth: 515 or 815
Krogan: 795
Quarian: 825 or 525
Salarian: 303 (338 with the seemingly glitched Salarian STG asset which you are supposed to get after Sur'Kesh but doesn't actually appear)
Turian: 633

This totals up to 7515 (7550 with the glitched asset). After being halved to account for 50% readiness, the max possible EMS is 3757.5 (3775 with glitched asset). And this is after making decisions that cause you to lose squadmates and behave in an inconsistent manner.

@Arian: Because 50 is a nice round number.

This is simply a lie. Or you have a hacked coalesced.ini and don't know it.

Prove me wrong. Show us your savegame.

Could you list out all the assests for me then - so I can see what  have missed?   Because I've done all that and still can't get high enough.  Sorry if I'm being pedantic but is really frustrating when people tell you it can be done but no one has actually managed to list off the proof.

If you could do that that would be great and I will then ,of course, apologise for my "whinning".

Thanks

PS sorry didn't manage to get the quote feature right... new to this!;)

@Arian: It looks like you just didn't do enough sidequesting. Getting to ~3,500 is relatively simple if you do the planet scanning for War Assets. 4000 on the other hand seems to be statistically impossible.

Screwed, or maybe screwed up. You're short a few hundred Alien points, several hundred Asari points, at least 400 Crucible points -- did you scan any planets at all?

The journal's got nothing to do with it. A few of the scanned things are quest-related, but most just give you War Assets directly.

I did, but unfortunately the person I contacted did not know why the sticky was removed. It would be nice if community managers and mods would, you know, manage such things and inform the community what's going on.

Not sure why people are causing such a fuss about it, I've got the 360 and the PC version and I happen to play the Mass Effect datapad "Galaxy at War" thing now and then. On that I managed to get the readiness rading up to 70% (just by making sure the average is higher than 65%, took me 3 evenings of playing around with it while watching TV) and I managed to get the 4000+ EMS ending easily.

Granted, it should be done without the app and ideally without any MP, but hey, I'm loving both the MP (though I am pretty crap at it) and the app idea. After all, the app is free :)
