Can you REALLY get 4000+ EMS points without Multiplayer?

Be patient. The couple of weeks that Mr. Abram has asked us to wait are less than the time until the Extended Cut comes out and 4000+ EMS effects more than just a three second cutscene.

Either Bioware is flat out lying or they are so incompetant, they don't even know what's in their own damn game. Pick one.

You forgot the third option: merge lies and incompetence creating a new form of stupid.

BioWare isn't paying attention because they should have kept what is actually in the game and what they said would be in the game consistent, but they didn't. Either they weren't paying attention, or lying through their teeth.

You have an unusal way of spelling "You can get 4,000 EMS in SP - If you believe differently please take your opinions into the mega thread on this topic:"

Be careful with what he is saying. Is he including the iOS games as being part of SP? i suspect he is.
The concrete question to ask is "What is the maximum Total Military Strength possible in ME3". Then they cannot play games with differentiating iOS games from multiplayer.

Just before I played the final mission in the game I played 1 round of multiplayer. I lost the match but still managed to raise galactic readiness by about 2%. That was enough to get over 4000. Its not hard, its not like they are forcing you to play hours and hours of multiplayer, it took me about 5-10 minutes to play enough multiplayer to get over 4000.
No, it's not hard, but it's the principle of the thing. I doubled my EMS by playing 4 hours of MP...this means that my 180+ hours invested in the SP across ME1, ME2, and ME3 only counted for half of my EMS. MP should not make that big of a difference.
Besides, if you're required to play MP to get your EMS above 4000, and you play on Xbox 360, you have to pay at least $20 (for the minimum 3 month XBL Gold subscription) to get the best ending. That is not okay, no matter how you slice it. It makes the $10 for Day 1 DLC small cookies in comparison. (For the record, I wasn't against the Day 1 DLC, but a lot of people were, so I'm using it to illustrate my point.)

This, and some of us simply don't enjoy MP (but I'm glad that some people are having a great time with it).

That's fine, and I'm happy for you if you like multiplayer. I don't and won't do it, and I don't have the equipment for the apps.
I shouldn't have to play multiplayer or use outside apps in order to unlock single player content, especially when. Bioware said in the lead up to release that it would not be necessary.

Your statement does not justify BioWare staff issuing demonstrably false assertions.

I found a thread on multiplayer bugs

A dev answered on the first page to say they'll be fixing things show where the prioritisation is
Their priority is where the money is, plain and simple.
I'm a bit disappointed by Thomas Abrams stating in the locked thread "you can get 4k in EMS" without providing anything to back it up. We present calculations and lists of assets, Bioware presents nothing except for "you're wrong".

Seriously it isn't rocket science. Just list off how as an SP only player I can play all three games (without MP or any other external game) and get to this "magical 4000" because I've tried and haven't managed.
I can't understand why Bioware are letting this go on - they clearly think they are right - which they may well be - just happens that no one has managed to show evidence that it is possible!
I have all three games, the DLC and the guides - have played through more than once and can't get close. Now either I am missing something obvious (like a lot of other people), or it isn't possible and Bioware are mistaken. But just saying it is possible without telling us how is helping how exactly?
Bioware stand up and show us. This is now 46 pages long with no sign of stopping and from what I can see still no input from Bioware!
Please Bioware do the right thing here and either show us how to do this or admit that we can't and sort it out for us? I don't understand how you think not communicating with fans/customers on this issue is going to help.

Guess what? not everyone has a good enough connection to play multiplayer or even has a connection to play multiplayer. Guess what else? bioware clearly said that you did not need to play multiplayer to access all single player content.

Bioware lied about alot of things. Pretty sure those replays people claim has 5K without mp. Has N7 warassets from mp even if you galatic readiness drop to 50 again. Which adds a **** ton.

Bollocks. Mr Abram could datamine his ME3's coalesced.bin file in less than an hour and it will confirm what we already know.

I'm not a multiplayer user, on any title. I've said that before. Can't stand it, especially because it inevitably turns into a monotonous, grating, overly-drawn-out grind to the finish. Frankly, I find it extremely difficult to will myself to play multiplayer (note: have to BUILD the will to engage in a form of ENTERTAINMENT) because it's always a 25 minute slog. Then of course you go to work for five days, don't want to play the game on those days, log back on and get hammered for not playing/being loyal/some other rubbish.
Thank the gods for Gibbed and Coalesced editor. Not that it makes much difference, really.

The only reason it's being 'contested' is because Bioware seems to think that 1+1==3 because that's the only way you get 4000+ EMS on SP only (no apps or multiplayer) unless you hack the game.

And believe me, I have tried and tried to reach 4000 EMS in my last two PTs. I scanned planets, I did every side quest, and I sacrificed staying in character with one of my Sheps just to see if I could reach 4000 EMS. I only made it to 3800, and there was NOTHING else to do other than say good-bye to my team.
I really don't want to accuse BioWare of lying...but...it's getting harder. Much harder. Unless someone can give an exact guide as to how to reach 4000 EMS without playing MP, I won't believe it.
