According to a PM I recieved from Mr. Abram, the sticky was not removed intentionally.
He blamed a "random server hiccup".

If that's actually true then I have to question why the sticky hasn't been restored. The fact that they're not restoring it either means they don't care, or they're well aware what the sticky said was innacurate.

This can probably be added to the rather large pile of "misleading" statements to come out of EA in the lead up to and aftermath of Mass Effect 3

But it's one that they can so easily *fix*! That's what is annoying the most about this whole thing, it isn't an issue of "artistic integrety" it's a legitimant broken feature of the game that has been proven over and over by multiple posters.

Bioware, fix your god damn game!

But then you won't play multiplayer and buy the map packs! you can see the bind they are in <_<

also I have a general distrust of using apps on phones/facebook etc the general rule is if you are not paying for something, you are what's for sale (personal details)

so it has been confirmed that Bioware has been lying about beeing able to get 4000 ems in SP...WOW

^This^

I admit, they got me. I got Gold and have been playing MP to get the "best" ending.

But, I must admit that I like the MP better than the SP with the current ending.

I really, really hope they can add enough to make the ending make sense.

This is very annoying to me. I've been playing the multi-player on the 360 so my readiness is high but I don't always renew and you can't even solo 'multi-player if you are Silver.

At least I've got the PC version to play in order to keep the readiness up. Though to be honest since I finsihed my first run on the 15th of March and can't get through a second, I do wonder why I keep bothering.

well if you can play MP - you can just promote characters - you get 75 war assets per level 20 and they stay in you war assets permanently across playthroughs - but that is no the point which is that making part of the SP experience dependent on MP and then lying about it is accidentally extremely misleading or intentionally fraud...

A question I imagine many of us are wondering.

I really still think that Abram was answering the question as best he could and that he just was somehow misinformed. Obviously he didn't really get 4000 EMS in multiplayer but I don't believe he would have said that if he knew it wasn't possible. Either way, let's hope something is done soon about it! :)

I think he thought it was possible, sure.

But the fact that the person who developed the system said it was not a whole month ago means that not one single person who has chosen to speak up about it has even checked. Everything they have said about it being possible or assuming it was possible or that it was supposed to be possible was a statement made without any basis in fact. It's not possible. The guy who implemented the thing said it wasn't possible.

The month we've been talking about this and trying to get them to act, they have done nothing. Nothing. Every time this thread comes to the front page, somebody at BioWare may read it. And every single time, they have not done one single thing, except to tell us we are wrong and they are right.

Yeah, it does show a bit of apathy on their part, at the very least.

Yup, can't add anything more to this post, it's the argument we've been making for weeks now.

I wonder if they might resolve this with the Extended Cut DLC. We're all assuming that you need 4000+ EMS to have Shepard survive, but that may not be the case with the DLC. The EMS bar only goes to 3000 (I think), so for all we know that'll be enough. For now I'm keeping my fingers crossed...

Have they said how they're gonna handle the galactic readiness number 2 or 3 years from now when nobody is playing MP?

My guess: SP DLC willl have additional war assets to help with that..

The readiness system was superfluous from the start. Promotion system should have been enough to encourage people to play multiplayer if they didn't want to do side-quests (AKA Mass Effect 3: Delivery Boy Edition).

Even if they do that (which I very much doubt) it still won't address the fact that the game as it stands now is incomplete.  I shouldn't have to pay additional money to unlock what we were told was already available.

@freler31 Well, you won't, the Extended Cut is free. But personally I hope they fix it before that. I hope if they do, they make it so it's possible to get it with a new character, not only with an import. 3000 is difficult for a non-import.

Yeah sorry, I wasn't clear, I meant that the "Extended Cut" isn't likely to fix this issue given that the devs have refused to even acknowledge that this issue exists.

Salute you all,

Its the same with the face issues. Ppl come in and tell us they have a good and even "
Ïmprooved" Shepard in ME3. But the funny thing is all the ppl telling that cannot post a screenshot.

I finished the game yesterday from Me1-> Me2. to Me 3 import. Did everything including all DLC for all 3 games and i had 3754 ems.

I once tried MP at a friends house and was in a random game with 2 yelling kids who were only yelling the F word to us and it was no fun at all.

I used the save editor to get over 6000 Ems.
Take Care
Regards from The Netherlands.

I used an ME1 import and I only got about 3,700 EMS. I did every side quest, got the max mineral bonus from ME2, played paragon in ME3, scanned every planet, got all the Spectre Terminal assets etc.

I had to promote 10 multiplayer characters to get over the 4,000 EMS threshold. I love the MP though, I only did that so that I can continue to enjoy ME3 once my XBL Gold runs out in a day.

It's shameful really. And anyone defending it is basically defending consumers paying full price for 99% of a game. I expected that a full retail game includes the full main story and ::gasp:: as an added bonus, the end of a trilogy that makes sense. We didn't get that.

They should also keep in mind that ps3 users lose out on I believe 55 points: Zhu's Hope, Conrad & Kirrahe.

I forgot about that, ps3 users get jipped on all fronts. SP and MP, it's tragic,.

Not sure why so many people are opposed to multiplayer. It's coop and easy to get your readiness to 100%. Hell, if you gather all the points, you don't even need to get to 100%. I didn't think I would like the MP, but after getting used to it I try to do a couple matches each night. More if it's with friends.

I can speak only for myself, but:

1. I can deal with only so many internet monkeys before I'm done. I've tried many games as a multiplayer and come to the conclusion it's not for me. It's not fun for me.

2. The multiplayer is all pew pew, and IMO that's not what ME needs more.

3. I'm no good at the action parts. I have a problem with my hands similar to rheumatism which makes action parts challenging for me. I can play the game just fine on the easiest difficulty setting, but I can't compete with anyone else.

4. What happens to the game after people don't play the multiplayer anymore? The multiplayer is practically available for a limited time.

I think they should change the OP's title to something more in line with what is actually happening.

The question is not "Can you REALLY get 4000+ ems points without Multiplayer?"
It is now "When will Bioware admit that you cannot get 4k+ EMS points (8k+ TMS points) ?"
