In order to unlock the endings for ME4, you will be be required to use the EAOWARE facebook app to spam your friends pages and favourite forums with links to ME4s website, this will increase your Galactic recruitment rating, RECRUIT YOUR FRIENDS FOR THE FIGHT
Then to unlock ammunition, please pay $.50 per reload or play our new IOS app, sorry if your on any platform apart from IOS, or dont have a smart phone, sucks to be you.
After 12 months the servers will be switched off so you will be unable to play your single player game, due to the required always on internet connection, its just not profitable to keep servers running for "older games" but dont worry you can pay another $60 for ME5, release 10 months after ME4.
Next time they will hopefully be HONEST about the hoops required to jump through to play the single player content. <_<
I'm at a loss as to what Bioware could lose by either replying to you or posting something official here - even just a confirmation it is actively being looked in to. That's not an admission of fault or liability, just a simple acknowledgement that some of their customers, their clients, their revenue providers are having an issue and that they take it seriously, as an organisation.
This would generate so much more goodwill than any prolonged silence is destroying, at no loss or liability to the company.
So I reiterate, I don't understand - and I'm not particularly stoooopid!
Actually, I think Bioware has a good reason to not say anything here. Remember, they made pre-release statements that te single player aspect of the game would not be impacted by the addition of multiplayer. Their core audience expressed concerns that MP would have a negative impact on the game, and we were assured it would not.
Come release, and it appears without any credible doubt that some aspects of the single player game have, in fact, been impacted by the non-single player aspects of the game. Bioware faces a credible false advertising claim, and they have at least two FTC complaints filed against them for what amounts to consumer fraud over the pre-release statements they made that have been proven factually false. If I were Bioware's attorney, I'd advise them to issue a gag order to all employees on the matter.
Care to comment Chris, it's been days since you last responded and all I've had is the sound of you burying your head in the sand praying I stop asking you honest questions?

I got over 7000 without going into the MP so yes it can be done
CWR
Wow - really? Sure that wasn't your total war assets... EMS is half that value if you didn't play MP, and it is an EMS of over 4000 we are after.
But if you did - could you show us how with a list of your war assets - cheers!
Hi CG, you still awaiting a reply to your various PMs?
Yeah - still waiting - and sadly no longer surprised that they aren't replying. My faith in Bioware is evaporating fast!

I know what you mean - I couldn't care less whose fault it is - happy to accept it as a honest mistake - just want them to acknowledge the problem officially and sort it out.
It just seems crazy ignoring the matter - as that won't make it go away. I can't understand the thinking behind it at all.

I fear for the direction the gaming industry is going. I hope it'll never be this ridiculous however seeing that Javik is dlc and Chobot is not....... I'm not optimistic.
This silence is only perpetuating negativity towards Bioware because they're not doing anything to dispel the notion that they don't care. I'm sure they are talking about this behind the scenes but silence rarely quells a hungry beast. This reminds me of what happened at Bethesda and the release of Fallout 3 dlc for xbox only. They didn't get a moments peace, the forums were consistently filled with angry posts until they finally announced it would be coming to ps3 too.
There are ways they could patch it easy without increasing the war assets directly. They could make it so that if you beat Insanity you unlock a 15% bonus to all war assets in NG+ or even make it so that there is an intel that only appears on Insanity, similar to how the Geth Rifle in ME2 is obtainable only in Insanity, that allows you to take an upgrade from Liara's computer on the Normandy to increase it by 15%. Since it seems 15% would still require you to get the majority of the war assets in order to hit the 8k/4k limit you need. This way it would be giving us the option of the best destroy ending yet making it so we still had to work for it.

I want to play games I can pause, stop WHENEVER I want, whenever its convienant for me - not some arbitraty system you design so you can gouge / charge (whatever you want to call it) players.

I have absolutely no doubt that this is the future for gaming, unfortunately.
(Note: I'm not advocating this, just crystal-ball gazing!)
with , where "microtransactions" are referred to (ammo reloads), then it seems inevitable.
It's all about cold hard economics - higher, more stable, more diverse revenue streams.
How long before "pay-to-play" is rolled-out to allow access per npc, per chapter, per mission; not as options to add-on, but to access the core game itself?
The irony is, I actually don't mind paying for what I perceive to be value-added content - the shadowbroker DLC for example, or weapon packs - or extra content that will extend the life of the original game.
I'm not going to go down the path that seems laid out ahead though - microcharging for core aspects of any game. Unfortunately microtransactions look designed to exploit fundamental human nature - perspective changes when we game, especialy if we are immersed in the action and environments - akin to addiction, a need for more, to reach the end.
How many of us have kept playing "just until the end of the mission, or the end of the level, I'll go to bed after the next corner, honest..."

I don't want this. All of this online hype serves two purposes:
1) To create a product with a shorter life-span. 2) To be able to monitor your access to your product (you bought it) on a daily (or hourly even) basis.
This is part of the reason why I don't play MMOs. Ten years from now I won't be able to play TOR, but I will be able to install and play Arcanum, or Skyrim, or ME1. Ten years from now I will still have access to all of the content from my games without resorting to a no-longer-supported app to unlock it. Sure, it's better for EA since they can control how, when and for how long you have access to a game, but it's worse for consumers for those very same reasons.
insomniac13 wrote... Now before you say "well there you are then, over 8000. Nothing more to see here.", these numbers are too high, requiring such things as both Kaiden and Ashley to be alive and simultaneously rescuing the council and letting them die in ME1. There's also mutually exclusive events within ME3 itself, some minor some not so minor. After studying the numbers I have found the optimized path for getting the absolute highest possible number of war assets even if it forces you to play like a shizophrenic looney. Here it is, the highest war assets score you can achieve.
There are two values for the quarians and the geth because one of them has to take a 150 penalty, it doesn't matter which.
Everyone got to remember that the maximum for everything is not possible since there is an either or (i.e: getting the highest amount for the Krogans means that you will not get the maximum for the Salarians or getting the maximum from Alliance will not net you the highest for the Asari and Salarian) so the highest number for each should never be a benchmark for the total you can get in your playthrough. Also a lot of those numbers you posted are wrong.
I've counted and counted and counted although I don't have a "perfect playthrough" save yet, from what I've pieced together... the highest you can get is 7530 (including From Ashes)... a lot way off to 8000. I know many people don't visit the Gameplay forum but I'm hoping people will be able to contribute to the list that I made there:
(I'm pretty sure it's 100% correct except for the Salarian Special Tasks Group - seems bugged) and more people to check and contribute will help prove that it is impossible to hit 8000.
The wiki is not so detailed on how to get everything...

Hi there.
I see what you are saying and it does make sense, however acknowledging the concerns of some of their customers and that they are looking into it on our behalf isn't admitting anything is actually wrong - that would be putting the cart before the horse - I don't expect to be told something is wrong until it has been investigated officially. If I, the customer, am ultimately wrong then all I'm asking for is guidance on how to achieve the 4,000 EMS.
Prolonging the exposure to this (any) issue with no official feedback makes it more likely that disgruntled customers will look for compensation and legal recourse, damages the relationship between buyer and seller, publisher and player.
The time for silence isn't now, it was at the start - being careful to manage fan expectations in a responsible and measured way.
Don't promise the earth if you can't deliver it, especially from Reapers!

I was on the fence with how botched Bioware dealt with the whole ending as well as the subsequent backlash towards the ending but this article just solidies my opinion on never buying something that says "EA," In the beginning.
Who honestly who actually changes kits during the day? Is it that important that you can't do it 5 minutes before you start playing? Also you can practice your free kicks on a tablet really so Fifa 13 can be played on a tablet? Nice to know.
OT: Yeah just checked my Salarian it is 88 all I have is an STG and Kirahee.
OT: Yeah just checked my Salarian it is 88 all I have is an STG and Kirahee.
There's got to be a bug with the salarians. I just did an eavesdropping quest on the Citadel and on completion got a pop up for the Salarian Third Fleet as a war asset but all I've got listed is the STG and Kirahee.

Perhaps we should pre-order Dragon Age 3, so that we may cancel it in the near future.
Did they ever realize that people may also have something else to think about in their life? Many of us have works, duties, girlfriends, families and childrens. Sorry if I consider all these things more important than your online apps EA!
I am glad there are other companies beyond them in gaming industry... companies that are still able to let me enjoy my SINGLE PLAYER OFFLINE games! Companies that leave me the opportunity to choose when I can play a game and when I can stop to play it.

But I disagree with this bit. To me this idea is just as bad as the current situation. We shouldn't have to play the hardest difficulty setting, or play the entire game twice on any setting, to get all the content. I mean this solution still makes it impossible for players to get the "best" ending on their first playthrough.
If a 15% boost will do the job (I haven't done the maths myself) then its really simple ... just patch the default galactic readiness from 50% to 65%.
I still have faith in Bioware, but if their future games are tainted by the EA crap mentioned in that article, I'm done. I can just about live with DA/ME having a multiplayer mode .... but there should be NO link of any kind between singleplayer and multiplayer. And I don't want to buy 17 different devices just to play a game. If I buy a game for my PC, I want to play it on my PC. If I buy a game for my Xbox, I want to play it on my Xbox. I'm not interested in tablets and phones and all that other crap.

Yep, appears I'll never be buying another EA or Bioware game. At least ME1 and the core adventure from ME2 will still be playable for years to come.
The stuff being developed through Kickstarter is looking better and better all the time.

I'm starting to get a pang to revisit the Sword Coast and hear once again that call to arms..."You must gather your party...!" I wonder if the original will still work in Windows7? 5 cds I seem to recall!
