Well, I meant no response from Bioware. But, I know why they're not responding either.

That is what I meant as well. From Bioware.

Here are the war assets I got before starting the Act 3 Priority Earth mission.  I don't know if you can get any more War Assets after that...  I did MP to get to 100%, otherwise I wouldn't have achieved the 4000+ ems to get the best ending. (red ending for me)

With an ME1/ME2 import.  I did all the DLC missions except, "Bring down the sky" for ME1. Destroyed the Collector's base, Maelon's data in ME2. Only Zaaed wasn't loyal. I played as mostly paragon so I couldn't betray Wrex, but I did make peace with Geth/Quarians.

Since I can't figure how to post a picture here it is in text:

Alien - 849
Alliance - 1566
Asari - 643
Crucible - 720
Ex-Cerberus - 250
Krogan - 820
Geth - 810
Salarian - 153
Turian - 628
Quarian - 525

Total 6964
without MP 6964 / 50% = 3482

Depending on how you could finish bring down the sky and deal with it in ME3 I think that adds like a 100 to alien.  Zaaed is worth 25 so you didn't miss much there.  Looks pretty close to what my first game total looked like.

To obtain all single player content you need 4000 EMS if you chose to destroy the collector base in ME2.
To obtain all single player content you need 5000 EMS if you chose to keep the collector base in ME2.

Are you sure this is accurate? The Collector base determines the lower end (which choice is the "default") but shouldn't affect the higher end.

You just need 4,000 EMS if you make the persuasion check in the final confrontation. If you cannot make this check or decline to do so, you need 5,000 EMS or higher.

I believe that's the way it should be working. And of course neither amount is possible through single-player alone. :-)

It's been widely reported that it works that way. Haven't tested it myself since I don't play MP, and I'm not a red ending fan anyway.

We await visual documentation of your War Assets list showing a Total Military Score in excess of 14,000.  Please provide it as quickly as you are able.  Thank you.

I left out the part about the persuasion check. Forgot about that. But yeah, neither amount is possible through single player.

Heh, I played MP and got 750 asset from the N7 operatives and STILL didn't reach 8000 TMS. That was having finished all the side missions.

Has anyone managed to get the N7 Master and Commander achievement playing single player only?

'Deliver most of the galaxy at war assets to the final conflict'...

nope I didn't get it but both my friends who played mp as they both are not the type to ever finish games just play the online got it one of them didn't even import a file as he's never finished ME2 or even played ME1

!

Excellent - so now we have Achievements we can't get either!!!

I just checked, and nope, I didn't get it.

So MP is the ONLY way to get that Achievement?

So what does it matter, we spend over 100 hours of our lives in SP to try to complete something that we can't possibly complete - and someone else can achieve by playing MP for a few hours?  Is that what is happening?...

I've also heard that the Defender achievement - Attain the highest level of readiness in each theater of war - is impossible without MP? Has anybody gotten this with SP only?

No, I haven't been able to get the defender achievement either!

I'm starting to get really annoyed with people coming on this thread saying they have managed to get the 4000EMS single player only without any proofImage IPB

I've played with an ME1, ME2 import, I have the CE version, played on insanity, done all known side quests, N7 missions, and the persuasion check at the end. I still couldn't get the illusive 4000EMSImage IPB

And still nothing from the Bioware devs!

I understand people making the honest mistake of misunderstanding EMS and thinking they got it, but for them to come on the thread and keep on thinking (and arrongantly stating) that they must be the only ones on the forums who managed this and everyone else must be retarded (because all it took was just completing the sidequests, not a titanic feat indeed) is amazing. Not a single doubt they show when they see everyone else says the contrary, they are sure as hell when they post. It's a level of immaturity, stupidty and self-absorbtion that you'd never think would manifest on a videogame forum.

same here

if you're mistaken admit it, it's a stupid system where a full bar does not indicate enough readiness you can't be blammed for misinterpreting that.

But most come in and go "you are all teh sux I dids it.........wat proof?"  <never seen again>

Yeah, my me3 Collecters edition prima guide says that 5000 EMS is needed for the best endings. It's pretty much impossible to get over 4000 ems without multiplayer or  the ipad stuff. Anyone who says otherwise is using hacks and should go die for their crimes.

And I am "thoroughly pissed off" at how some people come in, whithout actually reading the thread, and make such statements. As if everybody else was an idiot. Then, when presented with the facts, they never come back. It seems to happen just about every day.

I got 6000+ EMS but I had to get my readiness at around 97% or so.

Based on my calculations, after playing through the entire game and getting virtually every single war asset and getting 100% in all the systems and doing all the sidequests - other than sacrificing 10 points by taking Chakwas along with me - there is no way you can get 4000+ EMS with just playing single player. It's just not mathematically possible.

NOTE: I also imported my Shepard from ME1 + ME2 and did all the sidequests, went full paragon, saved the rachni queen, got tons of minerals, did all the DLC missions etc, upgraded the Normandy, basically did everything - and I still got the score above after getting everything in ME3.  I just don't see how you can get 4000+ w/o playing multiplayer

Andrew Bourne claims to have accomplished such a feat, thus all players who have extensively tested the game and who have thoroughly examined the game data files must be mistaken. Our negligence has also evidently caused Mr. Bourne some distress.

I do not understand the basis for your laughter.  I have already sent a private message to Mr. Bourne politely requesting visual documentation of his War Assets list so that we may identify the specific deficiency or deficiencies in our accomplishments.

Hi guys. I have wonderful news for you. I'm capable of resurrecting Aeris on Final Fantasy VII and reaching the 4000 EMS on Mass Effect 3. I have done both things recently and I'm very pissed off with this community for lying and saying those things are not possible.

I can't believe there is still people saying that we are crying this, since they are able to maximize the EMS. The sad fact is that not only is impossible to attain, but Bioware keeps silent about it.

I guess I'm just a mean, cold-hearted person, but the thought of "Mr. Bourne suffering some distress" because of our stupidity made me giggle. :P

I apologize to Mr. Bourne for possibly hurting his feelings and I am sure that he will provide you with adequte visual documentation about his amazing feat. Then we will all be able to learn from him and the whole issue will be solved. I am looking forward to the enlightenment we shall receive from Master Bourne.
