Has there been any indication if there will be more DLC or expansion?

Nothing on a proper expansion and wheter or not such an expansion would properly expand on the existing game or add to the end. Nothing on a sequel.

I'm sure I"m in the minority, but if the next DLC that a dev said was 15 minutes of play if you don't read dialog or codexes is the planned norm. I'd rather do without new stuff and wait 8 months or so for a proper expansion, new story or continuation of the story.
As it is, waking up a character I've already beaten the game with and retired, just to do a 30 minute adventure to get a new set of armor I won't use till the next DLC is sort of not appealing in a way.
A good DLC would compliment the original campaign. Maybe a DLC devoted to nothing but random map encounters, dunno brainstorming, something that makes playing the original campaign a new experience. Bioware has it hard, with such a defined story and ending, its hard to make meaningfull content, unlike Fallouts free roam where they could do almost anything, and they did do it well.

I just wonder , if they make a future themed DLC for after the blights been ended , what if one of you had your own character sacrifice their life? I just had my Arcane warrior sacrifice his life to end the blight today for the perfectionist achievement (I figured hey Arcane warriors run around looking like ghosts anyway so why not have him kill himself lol)
I doubt there will be any DLC past the ending.

You guys know that in december we're getting a new DLC called Return to Ostogar right?
Yes, that is the one a dev said was an hour if you exhausted all dialog and read all codexes, 15 minutes if you just get the gist of the chats and do the combat. I am the former, I read everything and explore different outcomes, but still, that is small.
I'd rather wait for a real expansion, or I'd like to hear Bioware say that have specific plans in place for larger DLC with new stories......or something.
It isn't that I am ungrateful or that 5 bucks for an hours play is a rip off, I'll end up likely buying it. Its just that dunno, I'd rather have a brand new campaign to play, rather than loading up the game once every 3 months to play the same character who already beat the game, just for 30 minutes and a new sword.

Don't get me wrong I'd love a full nice expansion as much as the next guy and I trust they are telling the truth when they say that they have widely different sizes of DLC planned....hopefully they'll deliver. Still it's too early to be upset now. I'm just pleased there is more than the nothing they had for ME after they promised "periodical" DLC.

And they're probably working on it, but it does take time. Meanwhile, stuff like RoO would then, hypothetically, serve as filler.

And if you finished the game, there is an entry there that says that the Darkspawn were not really eradicated and some of the more intelligent ones have formed groups and began raiding again.
There's also that cliffhanger on Morrigan and the God child.

Not to mention Sten's comment that the Qunari will invade Ferelden.
Technically, they'd ahve a lot of lands to invade before reaching Ferelden, it's highly unlikely Sten would live long enough to see a Qunari invasion of Ferelden, if it did happen.

I'm hoping there will be a large expansion that involves the characters from DA, and I'm guessing there will be, what with the 'campaigns' tab when you start up the PC version of the game. Plus, depending on the ending you choose, there's the 'but that isn't the last Ferelden will hear of The Grey Warden' sentence in the epilogue.
I like the smaller DLC's for what they bring to the game, but my preference is definitely a larger, story-driven expansion involving the current characters and tying up the loose ends.

Supposed to be ~2 years of DLC, and in-game Arl of Foreshadow suggests DA2/expansion might be in Orlais
Really? I pickpocketed him and I didn't see anything like that come up in his diary.

Tho I wouldnt mind having an expansion that continues the game from the ending but that would be hard to accomplish considering you have the option to sacrifice yourself.
As long as the expansion is not just some new game using the same engine. (I am looking at you NWN - Shadows of Undretide). I want to be able contnue playing my same characters with the same companions, I will not accept copouts like BG2, making some companions automatically dead and also just persuming you had Minsc, Jaheira, Dynaheir, Imoen and Kalid as your party. That was annoying to say the least.
But I am happy to ply DLC's and buy them until they release an expansion. Every DLC you have makes the game just that much longer and fun when you play through from the start imo.
