I must agree with Dr. Ray that games are artistic creations, but we cannot also deny that this is a business which has to meet in the middle somewhere. Especially when placed in a spotlight selling to the masses, I'm glad solace has been found in critic review's, although they are normally the catalyst "No pun intended" of misinformation in modern day media.
Some seem not to play a full game before reviews are delivered to the general public, especially when time is a factor (Regarding 30 hours of gameplay at least in some modern games). So generally critic reviews are to be taken with a pinch of salt.
I think a general consensus has arrived on several matters.
1. The ending made little sense, ME3 is supposed to be the trilogy finale for Sheppard. To wrap up there seems to be a lack of coherent information. This video explains (for me) to a T what the issues are, it's apparently obvious to many as I have counted over 300,000 people with similar reactions. (Summary from polls of various forums and websites including Bioware Social).
2. Some could view ME3 endings a little bereft of effort, now I appreciate what goes into a game. I used to help develop game AI and I know a shader engineer who literally spends years shading, so there is nothing "Lazy" about game making. Still if you are to look at the video below in context it appears like it is.
3. There seems to be a split on a happy ending, some would like one and some aren't too bothered as long as it makes sense.
4. Many people have time, financial and emotional investment. Please note this is not to take away from the amazing track record Bioware have achieved. Although with a higher reputation and respect comes higher standards.
I made this thread to bring together a conclusion, hopefully to assist fans and aid Bioware to have a clear and concise collection of why we see the ending as such a flaw and what can be done to "Fix" it. I see this as nothing more than a production bug, Bioware's games has kept me happy for many years. They will continue to as long as the story comes first, there is no need to rush games as it can do more harm than good (Financially and creatively).
For me personally, I'm not upset or angry. My wish is for Bioware stay in the running so I can enjoy future releases. Starting with the ending is a step in the right direction.
