Happens from time to time for me too. There was a sticky explaining something you could change in your modem/router settings but I'm drawing a blank on exact details.
Thanks for reply, i'd better look for modem/router settings then...

I have no router, no firewall (yeah, you can flame me for that later. But let's focus on MP right now). All other multiplayer game works fine (L4D, BF3, hell even minecraft works).
I can't invite a single friend to my private games. Whenever I try, we just get stuck on the loading game screen. Joining a third party screen doesn't help either, since there's usually just a 5 second window before the game is filled.
Do something Bioware, cause whatever the problem is it's on your end. I bought this game because I am promised that I can play online with my friends. Right now I am just playing with strangers (and N7 lvl 5 newbies who insist on joining gold *rolleyes*)

Now thats interesting, I'm not the only one having issues about this.
Any ideas people? I'm going to speak with EA support but I'm not that optimistic to be honest.

thanks for your attention, well no it says ''joining the game'' and stucks. The only thing you can see afterwards is ''your connection to the game has lost''. But this happens not before a minute.Yosuke wrote...
does it stop trying after a while and say you can't join the game for whatever reason?

Sounds useful. I'm talking with EA support now, if the problem is not resolved, I'll try your suggestion right away. Thanks for the tip.Gumbeaux Jr wrote...
Are you guys in a private session? Try starting in a private session, switch to public. Then playing a wave and dying intentionally. When you get back to the main mp screen you will have others join your game quickly. Not sure if this is your problem, but this is what my friends and I have run into.

1) make sure whichever one of you is hosting has the game set to private until the other person gets in the lobby, then you can change it to public
2) try using port forwarding, per this thread:

The only partial workaround I know of is to make sure you have your multiplayer screen completely loaded before you accept a friend's invite. In my case, this issue happens almost 100% of the time if I attempt to accept an invite from the main menu, forcing me to reset the Xbox and thus not saving me any time.
well I couldn't get it, ''have your multiplayer screen completely loaded'' section I mean. Sorry about that. Can you help a bit more ?

Yosuke, port forwarding seems to be working, even though my friend couldn't join me when I created a private game but when he created, I was able to join surprisingly. Thanks for help again.

Restarting the game seemed to work.
