I strongly doubt that Udina was indoctrinated. I think Ashley just mentioned it because she couldn't explain his sudden behavior.

Wasn't he indoctrinated in the leaked script? That may be part of where the speculation is coming from.

I think he was frustrated nobody helped humanity at the beginning of the game. You can hear his frustration in his words and tone of voice at the beginning of the game. At some point he mus've concluded that replacing the council was a good idea as helping cerberus too. He does indeed have humanity's best interest at heart. Remember her said he knew way too many people that are most likely dead now that earth was attacked. I just feel sorry for him.

I was a little disappointed in him, actually. He was actually gaining my respect, and then went and blew it.

TIM was indoctrinated and was able to convince udina to take control inorder to move citadel which eventually the reapers would use to destroy earth, im sure killing both udina and tim in the process since they would be since as expendable pawns

It worked for me, especially after reading inquisition. Guy just seemed even more fishy.

I hated him so much since ME1. He was starting to gain some respect from me in ME3, but when the time came I was glad I got the chance to shoot him FINALLY.

He was always an ass. I think he just finally got fed up with the council and threw his fate in with Cerberus.

In my playthrough Bailey mentioned gunning him down while he "resisted arrest". Damn Cylons...

The real question is, are you really that surprised that he would do something like that? It sort of just seems like its in his nature. That on top of to fact that no one has been listening to humanity for two games may have set him off a little.

I shot him. My gun spoke before I found out.

Huh, good eye.

Perhaps his involvement was before his death, and it led to the Salarian counclier catching wind of his plot during the game?

It could also explain why Pallin was set up in the comic.

People didn't like him, so bioware made him evil and had you shoot him. Can't have multidimensional characters.

He's Udina. Even Rene-sheps hate him.

Let's be honest, who chose him at the end of the first game? Anyone? Hmm?

He was always a power-hunger dick, so really it wasn't that far out there. I liked his character but they needed to write him off some way.

In game: Cerberus sold him a good bargain.
Real life: fan service.  I disliked him initially as well until I decided he was good for humanity, although I never had Anderson punch him or derived glee from thinking of such.

I always liked Udina, even when he was a bastard... so It was hard to shoot him.

Is it possible to save him? I'm guessing no.

Udina's betrayal took me by suprise. I didn't think he'd turn into a total villain. Sure he was a bit of a jerk, but a jerk that was on our side (or so I thought).

Is that the type of person we want defending the galaxy?

That's the only type of person who *can* defend the galaxy.

Did you read the Codex? Earth needed help but wasn't getting it. After many failed attempts Udina tried to take over the Council thereby forcing every other species to help Earth. No one was supposed to die but TIM screwed everything up

He DIDN'T turn into a total villian.

You people need to read the goddamned codex... Or hell, just read a few posts above you!
