EDIT: Figured it out - In case you too lost your ME2 CD here's the way to play it without CD (Legally). For those with Retail CD versions

1. If you have your ME2 still installed, go open it up to the lauch window - and go to Settings and grab your CD under INFO. Write that down, if you have CD case but not the CD's (like I did), the CD key is in the insert. There may be other ways to grab that CDKey I'm not sure. 

2. Open your Origin, click the Cogwheel next to the Question Mark, Redeem Product Code - enter your CD KEY

3. Uninstall ME2 from system, back up your saves if you want, and then go back to Origin > My Games> and Mass Effect 2 

4. Click play and a downloader should pop up and there you go.


I bought ME2 a long time ago and I lost the CD and can't start up ME2 anymore can anyone help?

I legally - bought it at Gamestop, I have it registered to this website and everything, I was wondering if someone from Bioware or anyone who knows can help me out. I wanna be able to play but I don't have the CD

Oh... Dammit! is there a way to find out my CD KEY from the game already installed... cus the CD KEY flier is in the cd case with the CD i cant find ;( ;( i been looking for days all over for it!


Edit: Okay found the CDKEY under Mass Effect 2 Utility ... where do i put it in on Origin?

Haha, so after an hour of scouring the Origin Site... it sent me right back here. Is there a way to register Mass Effect 2 on to Origin so that I can download a digital CD or something... I don't want to buy a new Mass Effect because I have all the Original DLC registered to this CD-Key, can anyone help out?

Hello magikbbg

Here's what you do. Open open your Origin game client and locate the button looking like a gear at the top right corner.

Press the button and choose "Redeem Product Code" and enter your ME2 code. The rest should be straight forward.

Thanks it is registered... unfortunately it still says I need CD to play... I thought it would be able to be playable without CD once it was registered.

FML! i found the CD case and opened it! was so happy but only Disc 2 was inside, wtf you can't play with just disc 2?!
