What if Bioware's plan has been the following all along:
Release an ending that is at best anticlimactic and cryptic. It doesn't really make sense. Doesn't make sense unless...the Indoctrination Theory is correct.
Why not incorporate this into the ending though? "I bet they're saving the real ending for a DLC".
But what if- just if- Bioware has created an entirely new literary mechanic? What if, rather than releasing the whole game, they only make you think they are. They let us sit here and theorize for a while- and hey some people get it right. The, later on, they release a free DLC that makes everything clear. As in this article:
http://www.forbes.co...ryones-heads/2/
What if the director of Fight Club left out the last 20 minutes? What if the director of Fight CLub had the luxury of the internet and an interactive storytelling format?
I think Bioware may have, for the first time in history, pulled the wool over everyone's eyes in a literary format, and just left it there, and will remove it later.
The key, I think, is whether this content is free or not. Everyone is up in arms saying they withheld the good stuff for the cashola. What if they held it for a massive revelation? What if you had to wait for a while to see the last 20 mins of FIght Club, but didn't have to pay?
Would Bioware be geniuses, or would you be pissed?
If BW did this...would you take the bad comments back?

I would be pissed, but truth be told I would also applaud them for it and forgive them. I can be both at the same time.

It's a terrible TERRIBLE idea but I wouldn't be surprised.
Ignoring your fans as they **** and QQ for weeks and then just releasing it would be awful.

If the Indoctrination Theory is true, then I want to know how they stopped the Reaper threat. I want to see a REAL showdown against the Illusive Man. I want to see a showdown against Harbinger. I want to see the game END according to the choices I made. That's what the game is about.
I really doubt it would be free, but it will be worth it. They should just get to work on making it real, instead of trying to rationalize the ridiculous "ending" they put out currently.

Personally, if they give me the endings we were all promised I would forgive them. It just isn't smart business though to ****** off your fan base, lose sales/customers both NOW and in the long-term, tarnish a franchise.
But hey, any publicity is good publicity right?

How would people without fast internet get it? That's the big problem. Considering you know, this is a game released worldwide.

At this point, nothing Bioware does will appease the internet. They could make brand new endings, add expansion packs, it wouldn't matter. If they charge for it- people will ***** that it should be free, if they don't- people will ***** that it should have been included in the first place.
If there is one thing the internet is good at, it's *****ing.

It's not the case obviously, but it would have been freakin funny if it was and now they had some people "liking" and defending a false ending. The irony would be astronomical in scope, and even though I wouldn't exactly approve of selling an incomplete product I'd still enjoy all the backpedaling from pro-enders. Sadly, it's not the case, they really do seem to be serious about thi horrible ending.

My first post after ME3 finishing was praising them for the Indoctrination I had, and was still experiencing.
I respect those that don't back the theory, but I will 100% until told otherwise (aka we'll find out @ PAX people).
Who's keen to start a bet? - Anyone here from Vegas? lol (semi serious).

That's being deliberately dishonest, which would mean that anyone who values their time and money would have absolutely nothing to do with them any longer.

as a one time thing? Sure, why not. it does make it a little more better feeling at the end.
More then once? HELL NO. I want a finished game!

It would certainly be polarizing and unforgettable. They would have to be reckless and have thick skin, but I would applaud them if it was true.

Somewhere there would be a guy or gal with limited or no internet access who would be stuck with the crap endings, and in turn would have to wait for either a goty edition of me3 or the hope that Bioware would release hard copies of the dlc which isn't likely.

If the ending is indeed indoctrination then Bioware just pulled-off the greatest SWINDLE OF ALL TIME! Imagine withholding the actual ending in exchange for money? This is morally wrong!

Nah, people on consoles without internet, how would they get the real ending?

I would not take anything back if they did this, and if they purposely withheld the endings for paid DLC's, that would seriously dent their reputation in my eyes.
Bear in mind I'm still willing to pre order my DA3 CE from them despite the whole ending fiasco. >_>

Depends on how much you get with the endings DLC. But I am of the mindset that Bioware had the endings be DLC for the reason so that no one could spoil it. Just hear me out for a second because to me this is plausible.
You have this big ass franchise and invested that much time and then some jerk gets his hands on your script and effectively gets on a loudspeaker? It's a touch of fridge brilliance. After all, they dropped that many hints on the subject of indoctrination and do not follow through with it and I'm expected to believe they'd let it end like that. Especially considering the reactions they are having.
No way am I buying that they'd leave it that way.

I don't even think they were sure what to do with the ending(s). It's obvious that indoctrination gets hinted at times though.
