I'm okay with changes as long as they don't make it into a Disney little mermaid ending (only a few people will know what i'm talking about). I'm fine with Shepards death I just want their to be more clarification about what happened after the game. Like where the hell did the normandy land, can i get more cgi of reaper ships getting blown up on the mega-cities of earth. I just want the endings to be more clarified o and I want an explanation of who the keepers are. By the way I chose the red/ destroy the reapers ending.

Is it possible there is nothing between the "Disney little mermaid endign" and the "hyper-melodramatic" (everything and everyone get destroyed, killed, ruined, etc..)?
Since I'm a Sci-Fi fan I know there is a infinite number of outcomes for every single action. We just want more "variety"

I highly suggest reading this article of you think the ending was of good quality:

http://jmstevenson.w...-mass-effect-3/

This is a good point: " The entire game was awesome, a tribute to how meaningful and emotional a video game can be, and then in the last 5 minutes completely falls apart."

There were several "plot holes" (like Leng disabling your vehicle with a sword) but it had epically glorious moments.
The Rannoch mission, if you achieve the peac between Geth and Quarian, is utmostly epic.

Another issue with the endings is that Shepard's final decisions rarely fit with his/her own personality.
Take the Destroy ending for example.
You managed to make Geth and Quarians cooperating. The Geth proved to be the nicest persons in the Galaxy. They helped the very persons who tried to destroy them. They immediatly offer the Quarian the chance to resettlle they own homeworld and they assisted them.

Now if you want to destroy the Reapers you have to annihilate Geth too. That's very disturbing.

I felt like I should elaborate on why I am urging BIOWARE NOT to change anything so that the simple minded folks can begin to grasp beyone a reality possible beyond their physical bodies. People are too oblivious to even comprehend what the ending is about.

This is why we can't all get along, because you don't want to.

Would be great if people would open their minds a little bit.

For the last time - people GET the ending. People UNDERSTAND the ending.

IT STILL SUCKS.

Also Synthesis is Cultural Genocide forced on the entire galaxy.

I dispute the claim that the ending even is the vision of the artists.
I assert that the ending is nothing like the artists orginally envisioned it, that it is a product of corporate pressure from Electronic Arts, that vision and creativity have ended up taking a back seat to form a launch platform for future DLC.

The "creators" already lost the freedom to be themselves a long time ago.

The synthesis ending is the same thing as racial hygiene.
Eliminate all "species" and then make a single DNA of synthetic and organic.
I could have swore some guy like Hitler had a goal like that over 70 years ago.
Maybe Hitler was reincarnated as a Bioware writer.

Also, the art form argument is garbage.
Art has always been subject to criticism as well as critiques to make it better.

Can we keep the endings arguments out of the Gameplay forum? This is one of the last safe havens.

To me, the only thing that would make me happy to keep the ending is a free DLC that proves the IT right. Sorry, might seem 'sheepish' or lame to others, but it's how I feel.

Taken as face value, the endings are completely contrary to the entire series....if the games had a theme, it was choice. It was about the choices people make and the consequences of them. And then, in the ending of ME3 you're suddenly given no real choice??? That smashes everything the games have been about away.

So yeah, taken at face value I wouldn't be able to even contemplate replaying the game. With the IT, then it not only makes far far more sense, but it actually makes it a pretty awesome and spooky and inspired ending. It would be one of my favourite game endings ever.

So yeah, keep the ending the same by all means...but add on a free DLC that continues the fight after Shep wakes up and you realise that it was a mental struggle he was going through. (And for all we know, that might have been their intention all along, if some of the little hints from some tweets are to be believed....who knows.)

At face value, it's the worse game ending I've ever seen....as an indoctrination theory ending, it's one of the best. (And no, I didn't just follow the crowd after hearing about....I played the game with my flat mate, and with how you move and the eeriness of it all from when Shep wakes up from that reaper beam, we actually assumed then and there that he was dreaming. It was what we actually thought was happening. Likewise, I actually thought, as I was watching, that the Normandy crash landed in rainforest on Earth, not on an alien planet).

I also agree with what people say about synthesis if it is taken as a face value ending....it basically turns the whole galaxy into borg.
