I'll give it a few days, tops. If it's not made yet by then, I am done with BioWare.

2+ years would be good with me. Especially if they develop DLC stuff for DA3 in that time also and do some kind of quarterly release of story DLC. Thats how they're getting me on Saints Row the Third. These DLC packs they're release every couple of months make me fire up new playthroughs and revisit old playthroughs. And SR3 is just fun to me, while the Dragon Age games have me wholly emotionally invested.

I would hope that DA3 is available no later than November 2013.

Any later than that, and I believe you run into the *huge* issue of the next generation of gaming consoles, because I'm pretty sure that by November 2013, the new XBox720 will be close to deployment, and the PS4 won't be far behind.

Then again, maybe DA3 is deliberately being planned for the next generation? If so, well, I don't know if I can justify spending $400 to $700 on a PS4 or XBox720.

It's not a matter of consciously waiting for me. There isn't going to be a point where I say "screw it - I'm done and will never invest in the product." When it hits the shelves, whenever that is, I'll be excited and I'll happily skip to the counter for purchase.

You guys do realise the 2 or more years won't happen its either coming out late this year or early next year.

I'm sorry, where is this source?

After DA2 and ME3 pissing off fans (god forbid they do something different), I can see them taking extra time on this.  There is no sense rushing a game when they've seen it's reception suffer already.

ME3 only angered fans because of its so-called ending, not because it was developed too fast. I enjoyed ME2 and ME3 (I have a PS3, so ME1 wasn't available), the latter almost right up until the very end.

For all we know, DA3 won't take as long as DAO to develop, because the DA universe has been established, along with basic gameplay mechanics and whatnot. It's my understanding that having elements like those in place usually reduces overall development time.

I don't care how long it takes. I'll wait years if need be. As long as the bring the series back up to Origins or better quality I'm a happy customer. EA just needs to back off, they don't get good games when they rush and force things. This has been proven time and time again. Quite a few of my favorite games have been ruined by EA and their monopolistic money hoarding ways.

When has EA ever backed-off exactly?

I have no problem with patience, so ican wait as long as they see fit, to publish a well polished game, they probably didn't want another uproar after DA2, and most recently ME3.Image IPB It's also a question if the publisher belives in the world ends prophecies, if they do they'll probably try everything, that it came out before doomsday.Image IPB

I'm sure no one wants to wait more than 4 years for DAIII before they start calling vaporware and breaking into the Edmonton office looking for evidence.

It's way too cold for me. I Google mapped it the other day, I didn't realize how far north Edmonton was... x_x.

How long will I wait? Until it's done.
When will it be done? When it's done.

I'm not conciously "waiting" for DA3. It'll get here when it gets here, and I'll preorder it as soon as it's available.

I'll wait as long as necessary.

I greatly prefer finished games over rushed ones.  There are plenty of good games out to play in the meantime.

I'd also prefer a DA2 expansion (r.i.p.), as DA2 sorely needed one.  Legacy and MotA were side-stories, and didn't provide any kind of closure for Hawke's journey.

I'm happy to wait as long as it takes to play a high quality game.

If DA3 is released in early 2013, it will probably feel rushed. Especially if it includes a multiplayer component. Late 2013/early 2014 could be about right.

If I have to wait 5 years I'll be 35 when it comes out and I'll probably be too busy changing diapers to find time to sit down and play DA3. :( I don't want it to be so far away that I lose interest.

Changing an infant's diaper takes 20 seconds.  It hardly interfered with my gaming at all.

An infant, sure.  But I still have nightmares about trying to change the diaper of my two year old cousin.

Reason #3469380908 why people should not have kids.  There's Dragon Age games to play.

If they pull their heads out of their asses and fix ME3 and don't make the same ridiculous mistakes they did with DA2, I'll wait as long as they take to craft DA3. If they don't pull their collective heads out of their ass and fix ME3, I won't be purchasing DA3 or another Bioware product. If they do pull their heads out of their ass and fix ME3 but insist on tarding up DA a second time with DA3, then I might buy it when it's on sale for $15 or something.

If I do decide to buy it, I don't think I'm going to fall for the preorder crap like I did with DA2. That game was NOT worth $60 + the money I paid for Sebastian (****ing bull**** that they took him out of DA2 and Javik out of ME3). To make that even more stupid you don't even get to use that character until about half the friggin' game is over.

I can wait as long as it takes. However, I'd hope that it's released by Q1 2014.

Really dissapointed they decided to ditch it.  :(

That said, I will gladly wait 2-3 years of development time for DA3.  If the game has already been in development for a couple of months now, I'd be happy to see it sometime next year around November/December.  But really, take all the time you need to make sure it's polished and, you know ... finished. Haha. It wouldn't interfer with my SO's gaming that's for sure, but it's not JUST changing diapers. lol. It's cooking and cleaning and picking up toys and rocking to sleep and chasing after them and everything else. I'll be too TIRED TO PLAY! lol. This is all hypothetical, of course.
