The wiki states they're about 20th century earth level. That means that in a few hundred years at best they could obtain the level it took our cycle's civilizations more than 47k years to do. That's a huge advantage, the reapers would have to come back very very soon.

That's because they were Salarian prisoners. Not really a depiction of how the yahg are on their homeworld.

-IF- the yahg arent reaped, Id say they stand a damned good chance against the reapers in their cycle, being capable of speech/ cognitive now.

Just looked at the Raloi wiki, I'd like to know more about them. Sounds like they are also more developed than the asari were on the prothean reaping.

Meaning a Yahg/Raloi dominated galaxy would stand a fighting chance.

*edit* see admcmei's reply....makes sense

You destroy the reapers, end the cycle, and **** up galactic civilization enough for the Yahg to become dominant. With no reapers to ever stop them. Good job Shep!

The Vorcha have intergalactic space flight so I think they're dead too (plus they help you fight the Reapers anyway).

The Yahg seem the most likely. As far as we know only the Raloi are as or even more advanced, and that is assuming they would have managed to trick the Reapers which is... doubtful.

I see. So the Salarians is doing experiments on sentient species. Poor Yahg. I will try to free them next time I play.

I don't think the Raloi plan would work. Eventually the Reapers will get access to all the census and extranet data through the Citadel, learn of them, and harvest them so they won't disrupt the cycle by knowing too much about the whole process.

The Yahg would destroy each other first.

It would be some other random species

Possibly, but I have my doubts.

Their agression is somewhat tempered by their Salarian level intellect, as well as the typical Yahg deference to proven leaders who rise through social maneuvering or through brute force. That might not prevent conflict between factions, it does point to them being anything but mindless savages.

Shepard's fish will become dominant, thats why all hope will be lost for the next cycle if u don't feed them now.

Do the Yahg have proper fingers or just claws? The ability to manipulate tools would be my biggest doubt. The aggression levels would be another concern, they would need to start building and cooperating rather than just hunting. They don't strike me as social creatures. Apart from them though the next most advanced alien we have see that wouldn't be reaped is the pyjaks and they are a long way from becoming advanced.

The Shadow Broker seemed able to work a Revenant just fine, as well as use the computers aboard the ship. Although that could be due to the VI assuming he was the Broker and just following his commands.

Yahg are 20th century equivalent, aren't they? I figure they'll be reaped too.

Hackett mentions they're leaving them alone.

The Vorcha lack spaceflight capabilities of their own, and have a primitive culture on their homeworld. The Raloi were only part of the galactic community because of the Asari. From what little has been wriiten, it is implied that the Raloi were in the early space-age, as far as spaceflight capabilities goes.

Would vorcha count? oO Or are they considered too civilized?

I'm guessing the Vorcha would get a pass this time.  And it would be a mistake on the part of the Reapers because they won't fall for more  tricks! AGGH!

That could be because the yahg are the least threatening, considering their level of technology. The Reapers would probably get to them towards the end of the extermination when they're mopping up whatever's left.

I mean, with the asari, turians, humans, krogan, etc., a civilization that's cut off from the Citadel and watching Johnny Carson isn't much of a priority.

I think the Raloi quickly left the galactic community and are trying to wait out this reaping. If the Reapers passed them up, the Raloi, with 50,000 years to prepare against the Reapers, might actually stand a chance against them.

The Reapers leave a vanguard to moniter the galactic situation. Once a species gets to a certain point the Reapers come in and destroy them. It doesn't have to take 50 thousand years.

Is that sufficient evidence to claim reapers did it? Maybe it was another species that wanted some resources.
