Do the Yahg have proper fingers or just claws? The ability to manipulate tools would be my biggest doubt.

How do the Elcor or Hanar do it?

Elcor is an excellent point, that doesn't make a lot of sense. Hanar could use tools via their tentacles.

Yahg and most of the named others are screwed

Suggests reapers destroy at least "bronze age" and above species...

I'm pretty sure there is some info in ME3 saying the reapers are leaving the Yahg alone.

Doesn't mean the Reapers wouldn't have turned their attention to them after dealing with the races that can actually fight back in space.

Yeah...I would think the reapers would target species that were a great threat first...then go for the less developed threats.

Raloi I'd imagine. They had just hit their space-age, and then the Reapers hit. Never heard if they were attacked, so it sounds like they avoided it by going dark and wrecking all their satellites.

the mud crabs from Virmire. I doubt the Raloi is going to get spared, after dealt with others they will come for them, if shepard would have failed.

The Yahg would find Liaras time capsule.
It would actually be a great cinematic if Shepard failed and the reapers won.

Aw, you stole my ending idea ;<. But yeah, it would be awesome.

The captured Yagh on Sur'Kesh didn't seem very advanced to me.

let him max 3 days in the salarians labs and he will probably be outsmart a salarian.

yahg are smarter than salarian
can detect someone lie directly
can read and understand more than 50 language at th esame time
100x stronger than a krogan....

it is the perfect organic race..give them the technology and the galaxy is doomed

Or elephant squids.

Or................ just squids in general.

No f*cking idea where they came up with any of that sh*t. Still hilarious to watch.

Yahg

In-game dialog strongly suggests this for no sensible reason (except Shepard stupidly saying that Yahg have teeth -- a joke as bad as Shepard's dancing).

Okay, think about what species they let live in the Prothean cycle.
The Asari started interstellar spaceflight some 2700 years before the beginning of the game, at the time of the Prothean culling they hadn't even discovered writing.

The Yahg are toast.

The proteans taught the Asari to read and write and do basic math aswell as evolved them from huntergatheres to farmers so they wouldnt starve. The Proteans also geneticly enginered the Asari and gave them their biotics.

It's all there if you bring Javik to Thessia and examin the statues and artifacts before walking up to the statue.

It's the Yahg, the game flat out tells you that. Plus look how intelligent and capable the Shadow Broker was so the Yahg aren't idiots they're just incredibly violent.

Yahg, but only if they don't nuke themselves into extinction (remember, that's one of the big hurdles to a 20th century tech civilization).

After them, shifty space cows and pyjaks, but it may take more than 50,000 years for them to develop proper civilizations.

I don't think it would be the Yahg, really if you think about it.  It states in the codex that at the time of the Reaper Invasion the Yahg have technology equivalent to 20th century earth.  Look at how fast earth advanced in the years after that (ingame) even the prothean data boosted us only about 2-3 centuries, so imagine 50,000 years.  The reapers may ignore them initially, that makes sense, they want to eliminate the races who atleast have the ability to put up some form of fight.

On another note, in the first game there is a planet, can't rmember which, that had an "Avian species in its Bronze Age".  It then states that the race was wiped out by a massive space Bombardment of the planet about 40,000-50,000 years ago.  This suggests that the Reapers eliminated them as well.

The next set of races i think would be a race that likely hasn't even developed agriculture, or if it has, has just begin, similar to the asari.

Well considering that 2 of them were uplifted, I can only think of the Yahg at this point.

Both the Krogan and the Vorcha would have been around but they were uplifted. (The Vorcha weren't exactly uplifted, they were taught how to hold and use a gun and kinda just stuck around)
