DemGeth it is a great ending, it's just incomplete.

I'm ready for my Shep to stand up, now that he's awake and go kick butt in the citadel for real now that he is out of IND land.

Yeah needs more exposition I agree.

As a quick tangent. I do see a lot of Canadians in these forums (no suprise, considering BW is Canadian), but I wish there were more people representing Quebec. :P

That said I can see the offices of Bioware Montreal on a sunny day.

Change it to something like Child's Play raises $40,000. that will make it look like a VERY old thread, and noone will check it lol.

lol or something, maybe something completely off-topic just incase people continue to talk it will get deleted.

As someone who did donate, I have no problem with PA's stated reasons for closing down the charity drive. Makes perfect sense to me. It's too bad some people had to ruin it. But I donate to Child's Play every year, and I will continue to do so. The charity itself isn't really impacted by this issue at all.

Not interested in arguing the point with anyone, this thread seems chock full of hysteria on both sides.

I can't believe how stupid some people are. It's a charity for eff sake, how could they though they were paying for an ending?

I said it in the other thread and I'll say it in this one.

WE DID GOOD

Actually no you did harm you messed up a charity. That is nothing to be proud of. I hope the founder/founders of the retake understand the impact of what just occurred because they had no leadership skills.

Well done your ingnorance actually harmed something that was doing a postive thing.

Probably wasting my words in this post given the movement seems to have challenges around critical thinking. It's founder(s) sure prove they have no reflective skills.

Try apologising to the people running to the charity rather than slagging them. You harmed them. by trying to use the charity to white wash your antics.

Waste of sperm comes to mind as a descriptor for me when I think about the movement now.

Shousl be hanging your heads in shame and wearing it instead of trying to weasel out.

I agree.

Also, those asking for a refund is proving the point I've been trying to prove all along. It was never for the children. It was to bully bioware to get a new ending.

If you go by peoples posts its probably 70% wanted to give to a good cause....and than the.....other 30%

The whole reason for the charity drive was a joke. I'm sorry. You don't use sick children to try and get your way. And yes, this is how A LOT of people saw this.

No....I don't agree....most the people seem like that had good intentions.  and this comes from someone who likes the ending and has gotten.....well very creepy messages on here for saying so.

Yes most people did it's just some people like to look for the worst in people  and find ugly meanings  behind the best intentions of other's.

It's sad some people can't tell by the name of the charity, Child's Play, to where the money was going to, to Child's Play. A donation to Child's Play in protest to the Mass Effect 3 endings. I guess some people are just too dense to make the connection.

Okay, there are probably some that DID donate for the sake of charity, but I'm sure the majority did not, and those people are the ones that I can't stand.

I think we should step away from the terms majority/minority. We have no way of substantiating those claims in either argument they've come up in. One way or another, enough people did it to warrant attention and they are bastards.

My Shep will stand beside yours in spirit, we'll take back the Citadel, Earth, the Mass Relays and the galaxy at large.

Hoorah!  I'm pretty sure that's what Shep says.

It's gonna happen and I've a feeling it'll be as epic as we originally wanted.

I wanted to donate at 1st, but a list of hospital shows that 95% of them are in US, with a few in GB/Australia - doesn't seem international charity to me.

I am at a loss for words......What kind of neomaxizoomdweebie would actually think that money being donated to a CHARITY would actually go to a company that is already being paid for their work?? You don't even need to read the mission statement from Child's Play....all you have to do is look up the word 'CHARITY' in the dictionary!

Ok, so I am not at a loss for words after all. I just don't get how anyone can learn how to use a credit card and yet not be smart enough to understand what charity means.

What nutcase would give away his/her money without knowing where it goes? These people are dumb money-cows just asking to be milked.

Let's hope the kids enjoy the donation.

Alrighty, the other thread is dying(or pretty much dead actually) sooo im going to be scrubbing the op and title please just let this thing die. I wanted to provide some clarity as people were foaming at the mouth towards both PA and CP, which is just flat out wrong. The blame rests in the hands of a very very very small few whom hopefully are sterilized due to some freak accident.

retake = fail

and this is also false, but thank you for trying to brand everyone due to the actions of a few.

I beg to differ on that ....

You wear what you associate with and if people are unwilling to see that then they need a few more life long learning lessons to get to the guts and bones of what ethics and responsibility are.

What Retake ought to do as a movement is actually issuie an apology and not try worm out by saying it was just a few people. Who ever started this whole fiasco of a movement should be praticing the writting skills trying to authetically apologize.

You don't get to scurry out of the light like some cockroach by saying it wasn't me it was just a few bad apples.

No one buys that cop-out excuse no matter how much you need it to be true.
